Si Yaek Huatakhe Cafe & Guesthouse

Wonderful guesthouse in amazing picturesque area. Lovely decorations all over the place, in the guesthouse, in the restaurant, and everywhere around the canal made island. Very friendly staff and owner, helpful, smiling, and the food is delicious. In the evening, there is a lovely boat ride with trained cats, to see the canal and buildings. Enjoyed my stay very much there.

I stayed here for 2 nights in a single room. The bathroom is separately downstairs. The room was basic but spacious, having a working desk, comfy bed, a fridge, kettle and both instant tea and coffee, There is a balcony attached to the room where I can chill.

Downstairs is a restaurant and cafe where I could order food and drink.

The highlight is the boat ride with cats. They will come around 4.30 and the ride takes around 30-40 mins. The boat ride is prioritized to the guests the rest is based on first come first serve.

The ambience is vintage style and very relaxing with the ambience, cats and all.

I couldn't say enough about this place. I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a cozy ensuite room that was incredibly comfortable. The nostalgic decor blended beautifully with the surroundings. The bed was so comfy, I found it hard to get up! Our most unique experience was the boat trip with (the) many cats helping to collect garbage from the canal – fun and heartwarming. The cafe's food and drinks were delicious, and the service was outstanding!

Walking around the market and ran into old looking Cafe next to the river, why not said to myself.
Order a 1 traditional TH food crispy pork stir fried with Chinese broc, side with lemon tea smoothie. What a surprise! Food delicious, but better is the drink. Very refreshing! Give it a shot, won't be disappointed.

Really lovely place to sit and have food and drink. Owner has several cats. You can take out his canoe on the canal which is really nice. If you want the cats to join, go in the evening as it's too hot in the afternoon. We missed this unfortunately.

A really lovely cafe! Very calm environment, good bathrooms, food is nice also. The owner is super friendly and of course has adorable cats, and even asked if I wanted to boat them around. I was on a layover in bkk and didn’t expect much walking around the market, so this was such a pleasant surprise and made my day 😊 thank you 🙏

Hidden spot in Bangkok!
Beautiful sitting area in this wooden restaurant and very close to the river. Just sit there and relax, while you eat some good Thai food together with a few drinks.

This restaurant/market is worth a visit. Just a few minutes with taxi from Suvarnabhumi airport.

Nice atmosphere and drinks. Because the restaurant is located next to the canal, it’s not too hot to have a rest in summer.

Whether you are wanting to stay here in the guest house, eat a meal or, have a cool drink this is a great place. Abounds in atmosphere, promotes a relaxed mode. A place to chill out on the perimeter of Bangkok chaos. If you are travel from outside of Thailand I recommend either making this your first night or last day of your trip. Extremely close to the international airport and close to the rail into Bangkok.

Delicious food and drinks in relaxing atmosphere on the canal. Grilled chicken and noodles and rice so good. I like the iced green tea.

Feel the old day atmosphere with a simply but delicious food. A lot of school kids siting down for chat and read their school lessons. Once you sit there, feel cool air from the wind blow through the channel. If you miss the old day feeling, you must go.

I’ve been coming here for a few weeks in a row, have to say, it’s a relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff and great teas,toasted bread,noodles, and more.As to anyone who’s curious about what latkrabang has to offer, go check this cafe and other cafe’s and shops at the old market by the klong, Hua Takhe.

An old Thai wooden house coffee shop and restaurant along side the canal which make this place charming. Food are delicious. They serve Thai food, noodles, coffee, drinks, snack, ice cream etc.. Could be a nice place for working as free wifi. No air-con but have many fans and nice green decoration to cool the weather down.
I growed up in this area and was away, feel good to back here again to have a nice memory. Recommend to visit or even stay over night as they also have guest room.
Only onething to recommend is to use glass bottle of water and no plastic straw provided in order to help our world to reduce plastic trash and toxic due to global warming for our childrens in next generation to breath the clean air.

Loved this place. Not fancy, but comfortable. Loved watching the fishermen while lounging on the balcony overlooking the water. A wonderful breakfast included with the room. AND cats.. Swimming cats.

Nice little charming guesthouse & cafe in the middle of vintage town of Huatakhe 6km. from the airport. The guest rooms on the 2nd floor are spotless, equipped with basic necessities, private balcony and with shared bathrooms. The cafe downstairs serves easy to prepare breakfast, lunch & dessert in generous portion as well as coffee, tea & beer but sorry no dinner available as almost all the shops closed by 7pm. There's plenty of peaceful corners to enjoy the view & cool breeze from the river even in the hottest days. The host is very friendly & knowledgeable of the area. You may ask him to arrange for merit making...offering food to the monks that paddle their boats along the river before dawn. Will need couple of days to fully experience Thai Living and explore the area. You could inquire about the room thru Airbnb or Facebook too, I think.

It's a very good place that you can have coffee and other beverages as well as food while enjoying the great view of the canal intersection at the same time. Moreover it have guest house service that those loving the atmosphere of floating market should try!

Cheap, tasty, boat cats.

Beautiful guest house ( cafe and restaurant) with lots details of the history, the Outdoor seating area is very relaxing and well look after . The owner is very friendly . Will come back for sure .

Amazing little gueshouse on the river! I spent almost 10 days in this quiet and confortable place and I loved it! All around u have everything u need and the river gives u a sense of peace that is hard to find in bkk! Huge brekky included, clean and friendly! Highly recommended!
