The round trip hike took about 90 minutes. It could be done quicker but that would require going pretty fast and not enjoying the views. Some of the terrain is pretty steep and does require a decent level of fitness. Or more than 90 minutes... you will get a workout, but well worth it.

What a breathtaking view. If you’re already going to Doi Inthanon then you must not miss this place. It’s a 3km hike uphill and then another 3km downhill. They won’t allow you to hike by yourself it is compulsory to get a guide. They provide guides and the cost is 200 baht. It took me nearly 2 hours including hiking up and down and taking photos. There are areas where you could take rest during the hike.

The views are just outstanding over the horizon! We can even see twin pagodas from nature trails hiking path. It might not be suitable for old people who cannot walk much. Our tour group had 3 elderly ladies, they were quite strong and I was surprised they managed all the way to the viewpoint and returned from the same path since the path ahead is just ups and downs. But, note that you need to hire a tour guide for your group to hike this path at the entrance there. It’s about 2 hours hike and very cooling weather in the mountain forest!

Have to pay 200baht for local guide per group but it 's ok to support these guys as they have to take care of visitors' safety and make sure no one lost from the trail.

There is a lovely waterfall along the way to the top.

Nice panorama view, worth to visit if you love forest and view from top of the hill.

Spectacular viewpoint which is very well worth the long walk here. The sunlight is harsh but the air was not that hot. This place is definitely a must visit once youre in Chiang Mai.

Wow, this was absolutely amazing. Wouldn’t have want to miss this!!! But it’s not easy! I have a disability, but I was reading on a website that it was very very easy. But if you can’t walk for a long time or have difficulties climbing stairs it’s quite the challenge! I did it anyway, with some struggling, and it turned out to be the best decision! First you walk through the forest. And later you get rewarded with a million dollar view. One of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. If you are in the neighborhood, don’t miss out on this trail.

A nice 2.5 hrs hike loop through forest with rewarding views. A local guide is required and assigned and worth the money if you get the one that likes to talk, which makes the hike more enjoyable. The guide also helps take pictures. If you are not very fit, you should take the shorter route back. Unfortunately, the day we visited had haze in the sky from farmers clearing and burning their fields.

21 Dec 2023.

It took us close to one hour to reach here. In between we stopped many times since we can't walk continuously. We got a guide to lead us. Many people also walk up to this viewpoint. The view will be better with less cloud.

Buddy, next time we use another challenging route to come down.

The View point is a really amazing sight. This mountain is the highest mountain in Thailand and you can look town and mountains from view point. U need to use local guide to get there and on the way to the view point you can walk in the deep forest and you can see the waterfalls. The cost was around 200 baht. I think you should go to the place if you have a chance.

Beautiful place - make sure that you take some extra clothing with you as temperature up on the mountains is about 6 degrees - misty and cold but amazing - great place to take pictures and to be literally in the clouds - would definitely recommend to everyone - small shops and restaurants available down the hill before you get your ticket also shops with clothing so you can buy extra jumper before going up if you forget - not many vegetarian or vegan options really other then steam buns with red kidney beans

One of the best trekking trail in Thailand. With lush rain forest and cool humid climate. Early morning is best to avoid crowded people and experiencing cool breeze of floating mist touching your bodies. Make sure you are strong enough for trekking in thin air. Sun block is a good idea for about one fourth of the route under direct sunlight. No toilet on the route, be well prepared at the entrance.

We didn't get the kind of view seen in other pictures because it was cold and Misty, but we loved the walk up through the forest. And we loved the cold atmosphere.

Will definitely go back soon!

Along the way, you will find how amazing nature can be. Our group took 3 hours in total for trekking at Kew Mae Parn and it was worth to spend. The way doesn’t too hard or too rough to take. I think even old people can accomplish this route.
Our guide, P’Tong is incredible!!!!
He wasn’t just leading us all along the route but also described, educated, entertained and more importantly told us some interesting stories about this place.

I would definitely recommend him as a guide!!!
He is one of the reason that make us even more love the nature here.

It's very cold, like standing on the clouds. In January, Rhododendron flowers bloom all over the mountain

Although it's a short trekking path (3 km) it worth make it as it offers beautifull views. It's an easy path, just take it!
