I stumbled upon Ban Rabiang Na Pa Bong Piang by sheer coincidence, and it proved to be the most stunning place I've encountered in Thailand. The serene beauty and vibrant landscapes are simply breathtaking. I spent the night for around 700 baht, which included both dinner and breakfast, and it was worth every penny. I only learned about this hidden gem from a fellow traveler as it’s not listed online or in any Mae Hong Son loop guides, but it’s an absolute must-visit.

Beyond the serene views, the locals are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the area is well-maintained. The only minor drawback was the absence of clear signage. I wholeheartedly recommend adding this location to your journey for a unique and beautiful Thai experience!

The host was really nice - he gave us a tour of the place and served us with 2 hot meals and coffee in the morning. The food was great given the fact it’s over an hour drive from the nearest city.

The view was breathtaking and we highly recommend to wake up to watch the sunset.

The toilets and shower were clean

Although it is bit complicated to get to Pabongpiang (also written as Pa Bong Piang ) area, it is worthwhile visiting this place. This is an area with multiple Karen tribe villages and the view of stunning rice terraces, especially when they are green, and I think it is very unique even in Thailand. I was lucky that this is the season they have just planted the rice plants they are growing and very green. There is a reasonable amount of home stay facilities, and I am sure spending some days/nights in this area is an unforgettable experience. Although I didn’t stay here (only had a look), the simple accommodation (one room, sort of hut with bathroom facilities) are very clean and cosy.
The people here are very friendly. I was talking to the young lady who is looking after the homestay, and she said they just opened this after almost 2 years closure due to the pandemic. Currently there are no food services, and you may need to take some food with you. This will change soon as things get back to normal. I spend only couple hours and I couldn’t experience the sunset (or sunrise) which should be most picturesque.
I am hoping to stay here for couple of nights during my next visit to Thailand.

Once a lifetime experience. Living in a small hut with limited access to modern life. No electricity which means be prepared for freezing cold shower, while does not need air conditioning since the weather is chill up the hill. Avg 16-19°C during night time

I been there just for a couple hour during last rainy week everything wet even the muddy road I don’t like it and it is raining almost all day cloudy but you will see the beautiful foggy view. Even I didn’t stay a night there but owner was very friendly. I heard they say no electricity at night. Very recommended for young people

After a long muddy road, the scenery I saw was worth it. This is the second time I have come here. There is no electricity at night. I have to take a shower before five o'clock, otherwise I will feel very cold.Loved to go again! However no electricity is good for taking star photos. Owner's family is so nice.

An absolute must see. For us it was by far the highlight of our day in Doi Inhathon mountains. The place is real, hidden and not touristy. The view was breathtaking and beautiful.

Very beautiful rice field steps. The way to go there so difficult with the bad road. But good for you if you like adventure activity. At this place also have home stay at the rice field so you can feel the rice field moment and local life when you stay here.

Totally worth the visit. Highly recommended during the rainy season, so you can enjoy the beautiful rice field. Even you didn't get to book the home stay, you can still visit this wonderful scenery.

We didn't stay here as it was full, but we definitely enjoyed seriously adventurous off-road getting here. Spectacular views of authentic village nature.
