Rawai Pier

I love this pier as the walk out is very nice looking at the beautiful scenery around you as you walk up the pier to the crystal clear waters either side of you where you can see fish swimming around. A nice and very long pier in southern Phuket. The pier has a nice paint job. It’s a good spot to take a stroll and soak in the sun away from the busier areas of the island. The pier’s end offers scenic views of some smaller southern islands and the Andaman Sea. It’s free to enter, and there are also a number of boat landings and a couple shaded rest areas.

Great for fishing and a nice walk in the morning or later in the afternoon. Local Thai Seafood market just around the corner. Prices are moderate.

Great place for a quiet stroll depending what time of the day it is. It can get crowded in the afternoons once all the tour boats are coming back in. Perfect for taking photos of the islands.

A nice place to fish and hang around. Normaly it is cooler than on the land with a bit of wind. You can watch te the fisherman and the tourist boats go out.

Great place to get a good view of the bay. The sea is so clear here and emerald green colour. I come to Rawaii for the wonderful seafood market.

The waters crystal clear and the view is beautiful

Be prepared to pay a "parking" fee if you drive yourself. Even a half mile away from the pier, every shop charges to park in front of them. Since the shops are deserted, they probably make more money from shopping than seeling their wares. The pier is quite unremarkable, but the colourful fishing boats bobbing in the bay make for a pretty picture. The fresh (live) seafood market is amazing. Sitting parallel to the shops which charge THB 100 per kilogram to cook the live seafood.

Beautiful place for a "photo-op". Lots of adjacent food shops.

Another pier that we visited during the evenings just before sunset, clicked a lot of photographs as the lighting was perfect.nice to take a stroll in the evenings as the mornings can get very hot.
