Crossed here twice in both directions with a car from Malaysia. Straight forward & fast. Just buy the compulsory Thai insurance along the road before you arrive at the border check point. They will also issue passenger list & conveyance forms. No need to fill in yourself.

Drove down from Nakhon Si Thammarat and arrived at the border at 9am, parked my car in customs house car park, don't know if you are supposed to but everyone was fine about it, from carpark to Thai immigration a 1 minute walk, stamped out of Thailand but the immigration officer said show your visa at Malaysian immigration and they did ask, from Thai immigration to Malaysian immigration was maybe a 50m walk, stamped in and out, going back to the Thai side filled in entry card,tm7 I think which was the longest part of the whole process,no fees friendly staff easiest visa run I've ever done,I have heard in other reviews about a 1300baht fee but with my non o multiple entry nothing,I was the only walking visa runner at 9am and there were 3 cars going through, hope this helps

A total of 15 minutes across the Thailand border and back. Very easy.

Went for visa run and it was smooth and fast. Not sure why people are complaining to pay bc you have to pay ALSO at immigration office if you want to extend a visa, it’s not free. I payed for me and my mom at the visa run company, it was great!

I just went in Malaysia for a week (cycling around)
No problems going to Malaysia and coming back in Thailand on a visa exemption. They just gave me 45 days.(even though I was thinking to stay a few weeks in Thailand...but one never knows) Very very friendly, Thai and Malaysian. Big difference with the situation at Sadao border before COVID.

Very easy, friendly step by step directions given by officers on duty for Malaysian entering wif car. Park right at guard booth, walk to immigration to get passports done, car owner wif documents proceed 20m to surrender car documents, then to customs and back to car to drive thru… last check is to open car boot… all within 30m between each process and total 15mins completed… very short drive is Malaysian Wang Kerlian check point, no need to get down fm car as we just need to pass our passports drive through, open boot for custom check and last is to show MySejahtera (My Travellers)… as simple as that

Everything went smooth, its just small border, but not many people use ni road.
Easy for those who have own transport.
Those who would like to take public transport, better go to Sadao-Bukit kayu hitam border

I want crossing by food this border for a new 30 days stamp, and I parked my motorcycle at Thai side, but here I only can leave Thailand, so for enter Thailand I must drive to Padang Besar, normally I must return and at Thai side ride around 160 km, or I need a insurance for ride at Malaysia side, but it was a very nice Border Patrol and so they let me ride at Malaysia side, there are only 23 km to Padang Besar!! the forms for motorcycle was made quickly and the Bordercross with a 1 month visa for Malaysia is free for me and my motorcycle. Thanks a lot for helping and convenient (Feb.2018)
