Jungle Guesthouse

One of our favourite stays in thailand so far thanks to the amazing host. She was incredibly sweet and cooked a delicious dinner and breakfast. We would definitely recommend to eat here as well. The rooms/huts were also really nice, spacious, clean and comfortable.

Best place in Thailand we have stayed!

We stopped here while cycling the Mae Hong Son Loop from Chiang Mai. The owner is such a lovely lady. Rooms were really comfortable woth air conditioning and the food was delicious. We'd really recommend staying!

We had a great stay at the Jungle Guesthouse. The owners are really lovely and helpful. There are many butterflies and we saw an owl at night infront of our bungalow. The food is really yummy. And the bathroom is amazing. Can totally recommend this place.

We stayed one night in the jungle Guesthouse.
The host is really, really friendly and hearty.
She explained a lot and gave us good tipps.

There are several options for breakfast and dinner available. Dishes are prepared freshly with best ingredients.
Her homemade curries and the breakfast were amazing.

Each room is located in a seperate cottage.
Everything necessary for a stay was available. The room is lacking AC, instead a fan is present. Nevertheless the temperature during the night was okay. (End October)

Was an adorable place. We loved our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. They had a fire for us to sit around and enjoy dinner and drinks. The food was so delicious. We had red curry, green curry and breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely wonderful owner!
Clean bungalows with terrace to chill outside on.
The big common terrace has a camp fire which they lit when we were having dinner.
The food that the owner cooked was very flavoury and quite big portions.
Location is good hidden away from the main road and busy town.

I loved my stay with Daa and her family. She is a beautiful person and a great cook! The New bungalow was clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed the food and sitting up on the decking with the fire on. Hopefully will be back soon!

Wonderful place to stay. Very warm and helpful (she looked all over town to get us a lift to Mae Hong Son after the early bus was cancelled due to the driver being sick). Also her cooking was great!

Had a great 3 days here at the jungle guesthouse. Da is a lovely lady, very energetic, and took care of us all the time we were there. Her father prepares a campfire in the morning and evening for some warm and pleasant times with the other guests. Da also cooks the greatest meals all fresh and made with love.
The jungle guesthouse is a great place to use as your base to see and get around the sites in the area, and there are many if you enjoy the outdoors . Visiting Ban ja Bo or Mae la na, caves and hiking. Also nam bo phi.

The owner Da is a legend, easily the best hospitality we have experienced in Thailand.

We arrived quite late and she was full of smiles while everyone was enjoying her food on the decking.

We had dinner and breakfast as options seemed limited as we drove through town and we were feeling lazy.

Both meals were delicious and we'll priced, as was the room.

The room itself was basic, but sufficient, and overall we really enjoyed our 1 night stay.

This is a late review - I stayed in January 2022. I remembered to write my review now because I am currently missing Da’s amazing noodle soup! Da is the most generous and lovely host. The bungalows are beautiful and I was able to sit and eat my homecooked meals on the balcony. It’s not only the best place in town to stay, but it’s wonderful in its own right. Highly recommended!

I didn't stay here but went here for some food. I drove an extra 10 km the next day just to eat there again. The owner is absolutely amazing and speaks English very well. She is just so lovely and sweet! And a great cook as well, the red and green curries she made for me were some of the best I've had in Thailand! Next time I'd love to stay in one of the bungalows. Really recommend this place!

Simple but clean with very friendly owner who runs the business by herself, a power-woman who does everything. Chapeau!What a wonderful person!
We choose the balcony-cottage and were lucky to got the last/highest one out of the 3. Go for that!

We had a great stay at the Jungle Guest House. It is conveniently located in the town yet so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are a good value, the hosts welcoming. The dinner was amazing and such a nice atmosphere to dine on the patio. A much needed place to relax after a tough day cycling the hills of the Mae Hong Son loop.

If only one had enough superlatives that also described quaint and nuanced attributes of this place! It is a true hidden gem with the most wonderful hosts. The couple that runs the place are both very helpful, caring and are real masters of creating the sweetest of atmospheres in the place. Also, the food is superb. Cant wait to visit again one day in the future.

It’s very unusual for me to give a 5/5 rating for anything but this place exceeded my expectations in a number of ways.
It is a husband and wife team who own and run the place and they really care for their guest.

It’s in a lovely bush setting, yet an easy 5-minute walk to the main road and 7-11. There are 2 choices of accommodation, one is rustic and basic, and the other more modern with a lovely deck out the front and great bathroom; both options have hot water. We had a few meals there and the food was great, a real home cooked feel and huge servings.

We would not hesitate to stay there again.

When the guest come to stay they asked where is the good restaurant and she was shy to say its her. How come?! Trust me its really good food that you have to try.
Fantastic taste every dishes i ordered. we got free fresh papaya from the tree and it was so good.
If we have a chance to go there,we will definitely stay there again.
