Sweet & Salty restaurant & café

Stopped by for lunch at Khun Pen’s Sweet & Salty after visiting Nam Lod Cave. Food was delicious, cooked with ingredients from the garden. Also loved the pastries esp. pain aux raisins (also available with choc chips) and ice cream (rich choc, black sesame, coconut milk). Make sure to walk in the huge back garden (which has 4 homestay huts) after a hearty meal or stop to talk to Khun Pen and her husband. Take your time to enjoy this relaxing beautiful place.

A trip to Tham Lod cave wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Sweet & Salty. Amazing atmosphere with delicious organic food and drinks! All grown in the beautiful lush garden out back. Pen and Yann are incredibly thoughtful and caring people and it is reflected in the food and drinks 💛 Stay a night at the homestay if you get the chance!

Literally the definition of a hidden gem! Fresh organic food from the garden and a lovely owner that even took time to show the garden. Plenty of options (Thai, western). And the coffee is unbelievable! What a place! 10/10!

The owners are absolute gems. The carrot cake and coconut macaroons are amazing. They do delicious Shan (not on the menu, just ask the owner) and Thai food. Most of the produce comes directly from their garden, they even grow and roast their own coffee beans. I would highly recommend this place.

Mandatory stop after visiting Tham Lod for a lunch or snack (we didn't have dessert but they looked delicious). The place is amazing, there is also a beautiful terrace. The food was delicious and the owners were really kind (also very helpful in adapting the menu for us vegetarians)!

One of the best stops that we've made for some coffee! Very good coffee, but the view upstairs is even better! Wonderful!

I am so sad I didn't stay here on my visit. This is an absolute gorgeous property with bungalows to stay and a lush garden on the property. Although I didn't stay, I did eat here quite a bit. Nearly all the Thai food ingredients are picked from their property. I suggest the Red Curry and Pad Tai. They also have a great assortment of smoothies, teas, and coffees. Don't miss this, if you are passing through on your visit to Nam Lod Cave.

Beautiful establishment with excellent food, coffee and tea. They have an ecological garden and source many of their ingredients from there. Clean and nicely decorated. A must stop when visiting the Lod Caves.

Wow, what a great place! Lots of organic and home grown food all made with love and care.
We can only recommend going there, we had over 3 days pretty much all our food there and would still want more!

The Owners of the Restaurant and Hostel are very kind and Helpful.

I didn't have an occasion to try their food, but the coffee was hands down the best I've head in Thailand. They grow it themselves and its just perfect - rich taste, super aromatic, not sour. Stop here at least for a coffee!

We passed by this restaurant after the cave. It sure surprised us with the food, coffee, and desserts. The staff were super friendly and kind. The food were amazingly good and so was the decorations of the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Must try the affogatto serves with Scottish whiskey.

Lovely food in a stylish and relaxed restaurant. They made local food all vegan for us, and served homegrown coffee for after.

We used to stop here everyday during our shoot at Tham lod cafe for Thugs of Hindustan… amazing hospitality and the best quality food… the best coffee en route… still remembering… It was around November in 2017… still carrying 2 coffee beans plucked from their garden… 😊

Such a gem! The owner is obviously a coffee enthusiast, the coffee is very good. The food is also great, with plenty of Thai and couple of western options. We tried freshly made banana-pineapple cupcakes, so delicious. And it was very pleasant to seat at the terrace on the second floor with great view.
Yiu can also buy freshly roasted coffee and herbal tea there to bring home with you.

Best damn iced coffee in this whole godforsaken hipster cave town hahaha No seriously this place rocks with the coffee and pastries 🤘🔥🎉🌌

The accommodation and the place are really pretty!!! We had lunch,dinner and breakfast there and everything was tasting so good and really healthy and organic. I really recommend this place and the owner are really friendly! All the best! Thanks 🙏
