Koh Mook Sivalai Beach Resort

For a hotel on a small island, this was great! We stayed during low season and everything went smoothly. The rooms were fabulous. It was annoying that the large pool was not clean but at least the smaller pool was clean. Like many small island resorts, breakfast is always a tough for westerners. Had a small range of Thai options and the usual for western eg, bacon, egg station, hash browns, sausages. The staff were concerned with sting rays and jellyfish during our stay.
I would definitely go back!

We loved it. The location and the bungalow right on the beach is perfect. The locsl village is a 10 minute walk with lots of places to eat. Everybody was friendly and helpful. We just absolutely loved it. Only complaint is that the beds are really hard and I struggled to sleep a little.

One of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever seen. Had wonderful experience staying there. Rooms were amazing with ample space. Lots of cool breeze from sea. Decorations were very nice. Service was good. You can enjoy white sand pearl beach infront of the restaurant. Just one thing there are so much sand flies. At night mosquito net is must. Wish we could stay there more days. Definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here during off-peak season, very good bargain! Super friendly & courteous staff, mostly can speak basic English & understood my broken Thai 🤭 Chalets/bungalows are HUGE, super duper clean & almost all are only 1-2 minutes walk to the beach! Restaurant's staff were very courteous & super efficient! The Thai food was delicious & the breakfast buffet spread was ok. Overall worth the 2 nights stay! Thank you very much to the management & all staff at Sivalai for taking care of 21 of us! I wish you guys all the best! Keep up the good work & services! Thai hospitality at its best! Very nice resort. Location is fantastic right on the point, with beach surrounding the entire resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
Had a room on the north side, but would have preferred one on the south side as more sun.
Island is awesome, such a quiet and relaxing spot. No crowds, at least not in November.

Such a wonderful resort!!! Great services:) The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They also provide great foods at the restaurant at the end of the cape as well. The beach is just right at your front balcony. You will definitely have a wonderful time here. Perfect place for family and couple time:)

Wow...This place is really great with a ocean view and it is kid friendly. A must if you want to see tropical fish and white sand beaches. And they have great food to eat on site.

It was a wonderful resort! Beaches like I've never seen them before and even though we had rain 2 out of the 4 days me and my family was there, we enjoyed every moment of relaxation and exploration. The employees were also remarkably sweet and helpful. We even played volleyball with them when they got off work. I am truly looking forward to going back some day!

This resort deserve 5 stars easily. Staff and hospitality on the highest level very friendly. Not a crowded place at all. All resort is extremely clean outside and inside bungalows. On the one side you have beach perfect for kids shallow water on the other side of penisula beach perfect for adults pretty quick deep water. Massage center is professional and nice. About mosquito the staff is doing really good job to protect all resort is spray electrical repellents mosquito nets etc so you really do not have to worry about it. Water in the sea is generally cristal clear unless the tide will come but then it is not that bad at all as some people are posting. Outside of the resort small village typical Thai I have been eaten in couple restaurants and I am still alive. Really recommend this place. If you like what I have written please thumb up like :).

Full service resort with clean well maintained bungalows directly on the beach. This is the best place to stay on the island.

Stayed here twice now. Lovely hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Service very good. Rooms excellent. Two pools.
Breakfast was exceptional.
Lunch and dinner was expensive and they add on VAT and a service charge!
It's not cheap though!!!
Lots of good restaurants outside though. Shops just outside the resort.

I am here already the second time after 2016. The resort ist still as nice at it was at my first visit. The bungalows are nice and still in a very good condition. The staff is friendly and always smiling. The beach, the pool and the restaurant are still amazing. The management is very concerned that the resort is always clean. If you stay here and feel like having the best authentic Italian pizza in Thailand. Visit the small Italian pizzaria Caipi on the island just 5-7 minutes by walk.

Comfortable stay, a few steps to a clear water. Sand is white and soft. Food here is beyond expectation, fresh seafood and amazing taste, expexcially Thai food. Tamarind sauce on tiger shrimp can’t be missed! I would definitely stay again

We weren't staying at the resort but came here on two days because it was gorgeous. The staff were welcoming and although we weren't allowed to use the deck chairs, we were able to sunbathe on the beach, use the resort WiFi and eat in the restaurant. Make sure you get here at high tide to see the water at its clearest!

Koh Mook Sivalai Beach Resort is a great resort with ever willing and friendly staffs. We enjoyed the short hotel transfer boat ride on a well maintained speedboat and experienced helmsman.
There are 2 pools and the chalets are spread out; the walk to and fro of our assigned chalets allows us to burn some calories; positively. We specifically chose chalets facing the sea directly; the view is breath taking, white sandy beach and blue ocean waters are some dreams to wake up to, everyday.
Having drinks at the beach bar after dinner allows networking amongst other guests who are there. Please leave the beach flood lights on in the evening until 11pm because it enhances the tropical beach and resort ambience. It can surely draw other guests to walk and laze around after dinner within the resort.
Please remove all beverages and snacks from the room mini fridge. Sell a variety of drinks and snacks at the Mook Shop. This will allow customers to pick n choose whatever they want from the shop and stock up the mini fridge in their rooms. The discrepancies of mini bar consumption at point of check out are embarrassing, and it turns off customers; arguing about items NOT consumed but was charged.
After a lovely stay at Sivalai Beach Resort and at the last minute before departing, customers honesty are being questioned at the reception counter of the mini bar consumption. Instead of delighting customers with stocked up mini bar / fridge in the room, this becomes a “negative drawback’ to the resort; and the customers leave with bad departing experience … all because of the mini bar discrepancies. It’s sad!
This is the reason why I suggested selling variety of drinks and snack at Mook Shop. This will help eliminate the unnecessary encounter at point of check out.
There are many five star resorts opted out in stocking mini bars in hotel rooms due to the negative encounter during departure.
Just a mere suggestion, for consideration.

Great quiet hotel. Very laid back. Just meant for relaxing. Courteous staff and nice accommodations. Spend the extra on the front row and you won't complain as the water laps on the beach 30 ft from your door.

We loved staying at the Sivalai. This place is a like a hidden oasis on Koh Mook, due to its location on its own private peninsula.

LOCATION: The location is amazing. Koh Mook is a beautiful little island in the Trang province and you can access it by speed boat or ferry (most common routes are from Phi Phi or Phuket). The resort itself is on a white sandy beach lined with palm trees and crystal clear blue water. It’s also a very short walk to the main town in Koh Mook, which was perfect for us, since we like to explore a bit.

SERVICE: The staff is SO friendly. Every person we encountered waved hello. Our bartender chatted us up about our hometown, our bell hops at check-in and departure waited patiently for us while we wrangled our 2-year-old, and the servers at the restaurant checked in on our meals without being imposing.
AMENITIES: The Sivalai has a great restaurant with a huge (HUGE!) breakfast buffet, a spa, and two pools. In add-on, they have a PADI dive shop and kayaks, bicycles, etc for rent. However, we felt that the beach was the best part of staying here! It was great for a sunset or sunrise stroll and perfect for swimming in the shallow waters. We can’t emphasize enough how picturesque this beach was.

ROOMS: Each room is in its own spacious bungalow. Most of them (if not all) have a view to the ocean and are just steps away. The rooms were clean, had mosquito nets over the beds and we had a nice baby cot for our toddler. Her favorite part was the Mickey Mouse pillow in her baby cot! The showers were nice and warm and the staff came each night to turn down the mosquito nets, although we didn’t even have any issues with mosquitos or bugs in our room during our stay.

The Sivalai takes the overall guest experience into consideration and makes every stay feel like a very special experience!

Our honeymoon. The staff.....amazing. The room (room 221)....... amazingly clean. Well thought out. These people really do go the extra mile for you. The air con.....super cool. By far the best hotel I've stayed at in Thailand.......actually in the world so far. They come in the evening to turn on mosquito repellent devices and to put down the mosquito nets. The only down fall was that there was no wifi in the rooms. Food at hotel is over priced and doesn't taste or look like authentic thai food. PS......please stop putting just 2 tea bags in a 800ml just of water. You need at least 4 tea bags.
