Koh Mook The Home Restaurant

Wow oh wow! Quite possibly the best Thai food we ate during 4 weeks of exploring this beautiful country. Served and cooked by two of the hardest working and friendliest people you could hope to meet. Every dish was sensational- the coffee alone should take you there too- thank you for my first proper coffee kick for a while! Juices amazing and beers are COLD! Plus the restaurant was spotlessly clean- cleanest toilets in Thailand!

They also have a stall on Charley beach- again food amazing and fab cocktails!

Loved chatting away to them after our meal- great memories of two wonderful people.

To summarise- incredible food, genuinely friendly service and people, proper coffee and cold beer. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

(Ps. Good luck with your bungalows- don’t forget comfy bed, water pressure and keep the great coffee going- you won’t disappoint!) see you next time ☺

After being in Thailand for 2 weeks, this was definitely the best place I have eaten in.
The restaurant is runned by the most lovely couple and man they can cook!

We had for starters the fried shrimps- they were very special and fresh.
Then we had the Panang Curry and shrimps on hot stove- both were exquisite. High level.
The cherry on top was the sticky rice with mango- wow wow what an explosion of tastes.
Everything combined with an amazing and attentive service!

Very friendly family run restaurant. The food is excellent. The favourite food of ours is the Massaman curry & Pad Thai. We highly recommend here. The best in Koh Mook!

What a wonderful family and restaurant! Firstly the food is really great, well presented and reasonably priced. We had breakfast and dinner there and it was delicious!

But the family who own this restaurant are what make it really special, we were staying in a nearby bungalow and the Home Restaurant provide breakfast, on our last day the family said they were going to the mainland early so they brought us our breakfast to our bungalow before they went! Which was really nice of them.

We also booked a long tail boat trip through them, to take us to Koh Kraden and Emerald Cave and it was just a wonderful well organised day, the lady took us to the boat in her tuktuk and then was there when we landed to take us back to our bungalow, it was just the little things like that which made the day fantastic.

Both her and her husband were so friendly and am sure would do anything to be super helpful to any visitors on the island. Really lovely people.

100% recommend.

Fabulous restaurant set just above the road, halfway between the Village and Charlie Beach. Family run with excellent choice of food and drinks. Service with a smile. Highly recommend.

The owners of this place are two of the nicest people we met in Thailand! So sweet. They also rent motorbikes, book boat tours and have a taxi and a food stall at Charlie Beach. They helped us in many ways and the restaurant is great too!! Highly recommend it, and make new friends when you go!

Really great food and the owners are such lovely people. Definitely in the top three spots for dinner on the island. A must try - just gutted I didn't try their breakfast stuff cos it does look amazing too 😋

Such a beautiful and peaceful place, a hidden oasis. I only had one coffee, but it was great. Highly recommended!

The best pad Thai on the island! We also absolutely loved the banana coconut soup, fried rice with yellow curry. The banana and mango shakes were soo good and soo cold. We will definitely come again!

If you're looking for tasty, authentic, no-frills, home-made Thai food in Koh Mook, this is where you need to go. We loved the food so much and the family running the place was so friendly that we ended up eating there every night during our week in Koh Mook. We especially enjoyed the Pad Thai, the green curry fried rice and the stir fried basil chicken.

We were on the island only for a couple days but we enjoyed their little bar by the road very much. Food is great and Manut and his wife ever greater. We slept across the street and he even came to our rescue when we had a giant spider in our room. Hahaha. Thanks! Hope to see you guys again. Greetings Lisa and Sebastian

Greit food and super friendly staff! Delicious fresh ingredients straight from the herbal garden! Recommend! If you like spicy make sure to try the "Paneng"!

Family owned and extremely friendly. We loved our dinner and got a free ride home to our resort by the owner, because our son fell asleep.

This quaint little family owned and operated restaurant was so nice and accommodating, and while we missed the panang curry (they were out!) the yellow curry was just as delicious.
