BED Friends Poshtel

We stayed here for just 2 nights but would have happily stayed longer. The room was spacious. The shared bathrooms were some of the nicest facilities we've come across in our travels through SE Asia so far. They were cleaned regularly and in really good condition. The breakfast was a nice addition also. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We booked tours, taxis and buses through them. The location was great also. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The hostel was very good, everything was very clean and very modern. The staff was also very helpful when checking in and recommending things to do around the city. Only downsized for me were that lockers aren’t that big and the curtains don’t block the light but other than that all good! Toilets aren’t inside the room so they’re shared with all the floor but there were always showers and toilets available so it wasn’t an issue

Honestly one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Air con is great, the rooms get pitch dark, beds are so comfy.

And the staff are so great. Always helpful with a smile on their face. They are great at what they do.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bed-Friends. The hostel is an easy 5-minute walk from the central bus station. Jin at the front desk was extremely helpful, warm and friendly.

My 4-bed dorm was spacious. Most hostels I have stayed at would have crammed another bunk or 2 in that amount of space. There’s a little desk in the room as well. There are a couple of questionable design choices worth noting. The curtains for the bunks are on a track, and they make quite a lot of noise when you open and shut the curtain. They are also sheer, so they don’t block out the light. (Important if you’re trying to sleep at hours when others may be up.) There are lockers in the room, but they are not big enough for a large backpack.

The price is very reasonable compared to other hostels I have stayed at in Thailand — particularly with the amenities here. The free espresso in the morning is quite good. The white bread and jam is very basic, but it gives you something to go with your coffe and start the day. There is a very large rooftop patio bar, and hostel guests have access during the day as well. It is filled with plants and a great place to do yoga and read.

I had a couple issues with the WiFi. I’m not sure what that was about, but half the time it worked fine. The other times I just used my phone as a hotspot.

There is a really good restaurant in front of the hostel called Barrab. They specialize in Northern Thai and other regional dishes. The Burmese tofu salad was incredible! Highly recommend.

There’s a great photo shop around the corner where you can get professional visa photos for 150 baht. For that price you get photos sized for the visa requirements for Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia!

Very friendly and super helpful staff- they offered great recommendations and helped us book tours. They truly helped us have a wonderful visit to Chiang Rai.
Comfortable room, great bathrooms, the whole place was very comfortable and had a lot of great amenities (espresso coffee, toast breakfast, soap in showers, water for free). The price was great too!
I highly recommend this place and would happily stay again!

Real nice and clean. Rooms are basic. Rooftop is really nice. Toilets are clean. Location is extremely good, but can be little but noisy at night.

Fantastic service, lovely staff who were really helpful and the rooms were always spotless. Bed made every day and bottled water provided every morning. The free coffee and toast was also a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay! Rooms were great even if they didn't have a window. A bit problematic was the second room we stayed in because the door was hard to open and close. Someone going to the toilet would awaken everyone. We decided to just leave to door a bit open and it worked.

We really enjoyed the rooftop. It was nice and green, great place to sit, enjoy the evening and play some cards.

Met a few other people there as well.

All in all an awesome and enjoyable experience!

Everything was great not too much Hostel atmosphere feels like a hotel hard to meet people due to the way the building is designed.

This is place is outstanding. Everything works perfectly. Thee is outside noise. On the food there is a beautiful garden and place to get fresh air and be alone. People at the desk are nice and so helpful. One of the staff recommend me a place in the mountains that’s I am very grateful for. Location is right near a local bus station. I for sure will return. Thanks you!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! The male receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is just a short walk away from the bus terminal and strategically located. The facilities are modern and clean. Would recommend if you are in Chiang Rai!

The room was clean and the pillows comfy, the shared facilities (bathroom and showers) were great, there was more than enough on each floor, kept clean and soap and shampoo provided! The staff were friendly and really helpful, we rented scooters via the hostel which were decent and we had no issues with them, we did a bit of distance on them too! The kitchen and communal area was nice and the rooftop bar is also great! We liked it so much we tried to extend our stay but they were sold out which was a shame!! Would definitely recommend, not far from the bus station either!

What a wonderful place to stay!
Lovely , friendly and perfectly English speaking staff. I extended for 5 days. I had a private room. It’s low season so we were 20 ( vs 60 during (peak season). Great espresso machine available from 8-10am, communal kitchen and fridge if needed. Laundry 30 baht/kg accross the street. Coffee shop and an an excellent restaurant next door. “ Steeve’s hungover bar” accross parking, fun dive bar with karaoke/ sport ( small dive bar). Hotel was super clean and calm, i had a private room, bed was a little too firm but totally acceptable . Night markets and everything you need is 5-10 min walk. All temples were 10-20 min away. Couple gum options in the area as well will come back!

One of the nicest and cleanest hostels We've stayed at so far. Not a big social scene however (rooftop was closed). Also free espresso machine coffee and bread/spreads in the morning was a bonus!

Very well run hostel/hotel.. reception staff are just amazing. Ask them anything and they are eager to help you. Great customer service which counts.
I stayed single bed in windowless room. Was actually okay. Bed Thai hard style but I like and slept very well.. breakfast well it’s basic but everyone seemed to eat the bread and jam.. good value and location is great..

1800 bth 3 people in a private family room. (We could be 4) best place I have been in hole Thailand, was like a hotel, they gave us private car parking, they clean the rooms and change the towels every day, super clean place! The toilets are shared but they keep them super clean and there is hair draier and face mirror! Have kitchen with real coffee machine, fridge, and everything u need. Best quality price ever!!!

I had a private double room. Bed super comfy, didn't mind the shared bathroom as there are plenty of toilet cubicles plus showers. Powerful hot shower, AC in room, lovely welcoming staff and the whole place was well presented clean n tody. I'd definitely return.

Very good place to stay. Sometimes it was noisy from the street. It looks like a new building, it is nice, clean and spacious. There is fully equipped kitchen with dinning and social room with computers and loungers. You can park your vehicle in front of the hostel.

Booked Standard family room for 3 people. The room was spacious and clean. Just a walking distance from night market and night bazaar. The staffs were helpful and they also provide motorbike rent.
