I think this place is a rare find. Informative and kind staff, healthy ingredients in every dish, including the desserts. We tried the best papaya salad, and the amazing crab dish. Absolutely amazing. The natural Umami flavors in the crab has left a crave for more, even 2 days after. The location is a small street near tourist traps, but worth coming from the other side of the island. Thank you!!!! I'm going to come back soon

Had an excellent lunch at this cafe/bar/ restaurant. You can tell that the owners and servers really care about the food and your experience. It seems to be co-operated with the restaurant next door. I would definitely come back here if I ever had an opportunity to come back to this island. Highly recommended.

Excellent, tasty, freshly cooked, authentic food. Fab service. We will be coming again whilst on holiday here. And the added bonus - alcohol!

Delicious food, very friendly owner! When we came and finished our food the storm have started, the owner kindly gave us raincoats for free. I had the best papaya salad there.

Enjoyed a delicious meal and some cheap drinks, and was a short walk from our hotel (Santhiya). Meals ranged from 150-400 baht, small bottles of Chang for 60. Food was fresh (and cooked by owner's mother). Restaurant next door is owned by the same family. They also do offsales for liquor at lower than menu pricing, we paid 50 baht/Chang bottle.

Ody is serving authentic, local food - please remember, it means delicious but also spicy as it is not westernized. I personally recommend coconut and yellow curry.

If you’re desperate for alcohol on Koh Yao Yai, you can buy a bottle from Ody to go.

I’ve been traveling around Thailand for a month and this place is definitely up there among some other great restaurants. What I like about this place is that everything is cooked fresh, price is fair, service is very good, and the food is very tasty. I would give it a 9/10 just because the portion sizes were a little small. Overall it’s much better to eat here instead of eating on the resort and spending an absurd amount of money. Highly recommend!

Easily the best food we've had in Thailand. The Pineapple Coconut Prawn Curry is phenomenal . It has a rich complex yet comfort food flavour and texture . The perfect amount of heat, sweet and savory hitting all your senses. We found the atmosphere inviting and the customer service was so much better than we have experienced elsewhere. We would recommend this restaurant without hesitation and will go back again . One last comment in closing, the value for what you get for your money is outstanding. Just go try this place. You'll be glad you did .

Lovely little cafe. I could immediately see why they're rated so highly. Outdoor seating is casual and staff are giving 100%. My pineapple and prawn curry was excellent. I was also pleased to see local craft beer and cocktails made with local rum. Prices are all reasonable. I hope we have a chance to visit again!

Very good food and drinks (beer and cocktails). Definitely cheaper than the resorts but a tad more than some of the other local places. Pretty recently opened. Owner is very nice and grew up on island, then left for school off island and then came back. Nice vibe and style, a bit more modern/chic. Close attention is paid to sourcing ingredients like their coffee beans from Northern Thailand.

Best food on the island! Everything tastes amazing and the owners are so friendly and helpful. My husband and I are vegetarians and they were able to make all of the dishes we ordered vegetarian. I brought my family here too (we're Thai), my uncle and his wife are foodies and quite picky with their food and they loved it!

Great and cheap. What more can I say.. Nice entrees, good tasting mains even through it was too spicy for me the flavour was good. Had a few yummy cocktails and happy hour lasted 6hours so we had quite a few, and they even made us a coctail that wasn't on the menu with Bailey's coconut milk and pineapple juice from our request which tasted very good!!! The staff was extremely happy and polite and talkative. One of the best places I've been to that isn't expensive.

Very good food and super nice staff. My wife and I went there 3 times during our stay at Santhiya. It takes about 10 minutes to get there but is a good way to enjoy authentic Thai food for a reasonable price. Main dishes are around 150-200 THB, beer is 100 THB (large Chang). They also have a large selection of cocktails, but we did not try them. Nevertheless, if you want to skip the overpriced hotel restaurants, just give Odys Cafe a try.

The owner is very friendly and nice. He helps out if you have any questions about the island, and gives you good information. He's mother cooks delicious. Its all fresh ingredients and fresh cooked. And the cocktails are much better then from sathiya resort. Prices are totally ok.
Its a place to be!

Delicious yellow and red curry! Vegan friendly. They had no problem making sure our curry was prepared vegan and knew not to serve us the complimentary app as it had meat. Staff is friendly. Looks like they have a wide variety of cocktails and wine, as well.
