I and my husband stayed at
the honeymoon villa no.5 / The room was so clean and beautiful, with full of great facilities. We really enjoyed reading+ swimming at the pool, opposite our room. The breakfast buffet were so delicious. The view in the morning and evening were so stunning. We loved the way how they decorated their beach front - chill out area. The staff were so helpful. Thank you so much for fulfilling our trip here.

The swimming pools were the highlight for us here, there are two of them, both offering sun and shade. The large one is great for sunset too. The rooms were great too, we stayed in the Deluxe Room with Pool View which may be better than the regular double rooms as there may be bugs. The island itself is great too and we were very happy with where we chose to stay. The breakfast was tasty as well. The room felt so clean and we were very comfortable here. The free shuttle to Laem Haad Beach was great, it was incredibly beautiful there.
As a warning, you can't really swim in the ocean here as it's not very clean, it's quite shallow and there are potentially jellyfish too.
Definitely recommend this place to stay!

Great place to stay with nice and friendly staff. The rooms look like the photos. You can rent a motorbike for 300baht/day. The island is nice and chill, and a good place to escape from the crowds of Phuket and Krabi.

Try OMG Massage, which is a 10-minute drive away - it's very good too!

Good beds, clean pools, friendly staff, we never locked the door once and nothing was stolen. Good location, amazing included breakfast with the best scenery to eat it. A bit pricy restaurant, take chill chill a pal up the Road, its cheap and amazing. Recommend, though rooms in streetplan smell mouldy, be sure to get the bungalows or upperfloors, though it can be done with airing out and keeping the ac on whole u Are away

The break fast is basic stuff. You won’t be getting good foreigner breakfast here.
In the other hand they serve fresh coffee, not instant one which is a plus for our coffee drinker.

There were a day we went out for day trip and forgot to close the balcony door, we came back with a cockroach in the room, call the front desk to come up and take care of it they handle it very very well.

Brilliant experience at the Baantaranya Resort. If you’re looking for a Dubai standard 5 star hotel then this is the place.
We stayed the penthouse with the entire floor to ourselves. Has a private jacuzzi with stunning views and the rooms were impeccable, with sealed toiletries and drinking cups. The staff were very prompt with any requests we had, speedy laundry service as well as excellent food at the restaurant.
Thank you to all the staff at the resort for making this a memorable stay.

Amazing resort that had everything we needed. Was in a room by the pool and I loved the aesthetics. It's a quiet area so don't expect a night life or anything. Amazing place to relax and the owner is lovely too! Rented motor bikes from the pier we came from for 250baht each and rode around the whole day. Lovely food for dinner and lunch. Definitely recommend coming here :)

Great resort for relaxing! Not a place to stay up late, get rowdy etc.
We had 2 different rooms during our stay and both were beautiful. Clean, AC works great, and private.
Staff throughout the resort were so friendly and helpful!
Restaurant is pretty good and reasonably priced. Definitely bring some bug spray for your feet during dinner. We forgot one night and the staff brought some over for us- again, they were so helpful! There's a restaurant across the street is priced pretty similarly.
The pool is okay. It's pretty basic and not a ton happening there.
The beach area is beautiful but not ideal for swimming, that's no secret when you look at photos and read reviews.
We rented a scooter and explored the whole island in a day, definitely worth the rental price (resort or the guy renting across the street).

We booked for one night and we stay 5 nights! Room was perfect, staff was friendly and helpful! First we had a comment / advice about the R&B music. The management understand this and remove the stereo from the bar to the restaurant and changed the loudness and the music. That made a ultimate relaxed stay at this very relaxed island.
The comments about the beach I really don't understand. If you like nature this is a beautiful beach with a lot of small live. The restaurant was really good and not so expensive as other resorts were we stay in the last 3 weeks.
Finally: sure we come back!

Beautifully located hotel, wonderful ambience everywhere with attention to detail, but especially the view of the many rock formations jutting out of the sea.
To the service it is unbelievable what they have done for us at night still a boat organized and extra waited for us and a great meal prepared, many, many thanks, and the whole staff, especially unspeakable friendly, I can only recommend the hotel to 100%, you will be delighted

Cosy and clean hotel on the beach. 5 stars to the hotel and 3 stars for the beach. When low tide, you have no where to swim unless you want to walk in mud, but you can swim in hotels pool. If you wake up early, you can watch a nice sunrise.

Absolutely amazing experience on a great island. The location is right on the beach with an amazing view, even from our room. The service was exceptional and staff were very pleasant. If you're looking for a relaxing, laid back experience with the option to explore (scooter, island tours, etc... can book with hotel) I'd recommend this place!

I stayed here for 4 days / 3 nights in the month of January. I stayed in one of the honeymoon suites, even though I was travelling by myself LOL

It was a very nice tropical-looking setup with multiple bungalows, nice landscaping & plants, fine sand, small pool (which I never used), and multiple seats (including lounge and reclining) and some tables near the small beach area. There's a long skinny pier which both tourists and the locals like to go out onto both during the day and early evenings. There's also a tiki bar where they serve all the good drinks – I drank Mai Thai, Long Island, and couple of their specialty fruity mixed drinks.

My suite was very nice, as you can see from my pictures. I had no really big complaints with the room, except there were no instructions on using the "old school" safe, my drain wasn't working initially, there could be more open closet storage in the rooms, and the internet was unstable at times. But I'm pretty sure the internet is not their fault, it's just how the island is at weird times or depends on the weather.

They offer scooter rentals, day trip scheduling, pickups, and more. I was fortunate to get to know some of the staff members, who were all very nice pleasant people who were great at their jobs. I was super grateful after I injured my lower leg and a bunch of them attended to my injury with first aid and showed great concern for my well-being.

I saw a mixture of couples, pairs of friends, and small family staying at this hotel. There is not too much to do in the immediate area, but you can easily scooter to anywhere, which is what every tourist does for most destinations on the island.

I would definitely stay here again. I would recommend it to other travelers, who don't mind paying the middle price range to stay at a premium-quality yet quiet resort, with very friendly staff.

Lovely villas, very clean, super friendly staff, food is very nice and not too pricey. Happy hour from 3 to 5 for cocktails, scooter rent for 300/day, Thai massages 400thb, laundry service 80bth/kg.
Located in the middle of the island which makes it perfect for scooter trips to all ends of the islands

Amazing resort if you’re looking for relax and contact with nature. Free bikes and cheap scooters available at the frontdesk, as well as shuttle bus that takes you to paradise-like beach peninsula. Breakfast was tasty and service is incredibly caring and helpful. Recommend renting a scooter and traveling arround island for at least one day! Definitely will come back.
