Hands down a good short hike and peaceful place to explore. The drive to Pa La U was so amazing as we got to enjoy the landscape on the back of a pickup truck taxi! The waterfalls were so cold and much needed after the long hike and the swim is highly recommended, so do wear your swimsuits! Also it's slippery so wear good shoes! Crocs are recommended!!

Awesome waterfalls, you can see many weird / beautiful bugs or butterflies here . We took about 2 h too finish the whole thing ( 5 levels )
It is really slippery in some areas so wear sneakers not sandals.
Ticket for foreigners is 300/person , Thai people is 60/person

Beautiful nature experience. Feeding the carps is really fun!
The hike up to level 2 is okay.
Don't go after rain. It is very slippery.
There is a grocery store at the entrance.

If you visit I highly recommend training shoes with good grip as it is very slippery in places. It is an incredibly beautiful place loads of butterfly's and and the water is teaming with fish which you can feed as they sell fish food. Differently a place to just stop and take in all the beauty and spot any wildlife.

Amazing must-visit place when in Hua Hin. Butterflies and powerful flowing river water are just two of the many highlights. The drive in is spectacular. Smooth roads and not overly busy when we visited, and amazing views with mountains all around. Bring a few supplies because not many shops along the way.

Beautiful waterfall to visit. We did not swim because of the many fish in the water.
The waterfall is devided in 5 levels you can climb.
I advise to put on walking shoes or good sneakers and don't go if its raining.
Its a good climb through nature.

Can not advise to go up with young kids or not-fit adults.

Scenic streams and waterfalls .. As it was drizzling, it was challenging to track uphill with wet and slippery terrain, thus we only managed the reach level 3 of 5 level of the waterfalls. In my opinion, visit on a wet day is not advisable.

น้ำตกป่าละอู, Pa La-U waterfall is located in the densely verdant forest in the area of Kaeng Krachan national park where various kinds of birds and butterflies are found, especially in the morning.

The Road leading to Pa La-U Waterfall is stunning, as the road winds over the Kaeng Krachan National Park Mountains and it is not unusual to see trampled down trees by the side of the road after wild Elephants has walked through and if you are lucky you can even see this majestic animals idling on the road.

Unfortunately, I saw only elephant dung😅 all the way up. (Pretty sizeable😆)

The Pal La-U Waterfall has 5 levels that are open to the public. Some levels of the waterfall can be reached along a Trekking trail parallel to the stream.

The best time to watch butterflies is from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

very nice place for a little hike. Level 1-3 ok for all. from level 4 not suitable for older people. clean and groomed. Tourists pay 300THB entrance Thais 60THB, I found it very nice and refreshing to swim there if the many trusting fish don't bother you

Highly recommend getting some fish food at the entrance to feed the carps. Beautiful waterfalls, water is cold and ideal to cool down from the heat. Foreigners pay more than Thai, like in most other parks in the country.

This is an amazing waterfall with a long hiking trail up a hill. The area is very beautiful and clean with a lot of wildlife around. Butterflies, bees, fish. There are also signs that say that there should be monkeys too, but there weren't any when I was there. The waterfall is very nice, refreshing and clean too.

Pa La-U Waterfalls is a fantastic kid-friendly destination. The trail is perfect for young explorers, providing a fun and accessible hike. Feeding the carp is an engaging activity that will captivate children. They can also enjoy swimming in the refreshing pools and experiencing the thrill of sliding down the rock waterfalls. Swinging from vines adds an element of adventure and excitement. The presence of diverse butterfly species adds to the enchanting ambiance. Pa La-U Waterfalls offers a memorable experience that families can enjoy together.

Beautiful waterfall hidden in a tropical forest about 1 hr drive from Hua Hin . If you like a bit of adventure, this is worth a visit. Also, if you are lucky, there are chances to see wild elephants along the route.

Swimming with the fishes.... We went for a day out from Hua Hin. The journey was about 90 minutes from Hua Hin to the falls. The scenery is beautiful. The water cold and full of fish. We hiked it up to the 4th level and hung out there for a couple of hours swimming in the pool and feeding fish (make sure you buy the fish food at the hut when you get out your car at the car park). Had a lovely day. You can't take food in with you, but we had a picnic made for us by Node and Indy at Eco Harmony and ate this when we got back to the entrance. Brilliant day. All the children exhausted and us adults too.

Nice place to be!

The street up there are under construction so be careful!
The beautiful thing about the way up there that you are allowed to drive only 30km/h because of wild elephants.
So maybe you can see them when you get up there.

The way up to the waterfalls is a really nice hiking. You have ropes so it is save.

You are always swimming with wild fish but they are really trustful and swim to you.

I liked it.
And there are not that many people as I aspect!

But you have to pay 300bath for the scooter and 50bath each person so you can take the road to drive to the waterfalls.

The Pala-U waterfall is about a 90 minute drive from Hua Hin. Like many Thai national parks, there is an entrance fee. 300 baht for foreigners. 100 baht for Thais and 40 baht for your car.
Once you park, there first level of the waterfall is a very easy walk from the car on well maintained trails. The waterfall has 7 levels but beyond the second one, the trail becomes much more difficult and involves climbing over a lot of rocks. At some places, ropes are provided to help get over the rocks.
One of the features of this park is the butterflies. They are everywhere. The water is full of fish as well. Do bring your own water and make use of the restroom as you enter the park because there are no facilities once you are inside.
As you drive to the waterfalls, you will notice a section of the road that has some barriers you must drive around. These are to slow drivers down at an elephant crossing. If you look along the side of the road leading to the park, you will notice many examples of elephant droppings and you can see gaps in the forest on the side of the road where the elephants have made a path.

Amazing! This waterfall is very nice and much more than I expected. I recommend to prepare a good pair of cross training shoes because the walk way is very slippery and some area is wet. The best period of this waterfall tracking starts from November to March.
