Mook Ing Lay

The Mook Ing Lay is a perfect place to stay on Mook. The room is spacious and very clean, tea and coffee making facilities too. We were given fruit every day and they lit a mosquito burner on the balcony for you. So well looked after, highly recommend it 🇹🇭🙏

Best hotel in Koh Mook. Great price, very clean rooms and very convenient location. Next to the pier and in the Town but very quite. Also, the room has everything you need and they receive it with fruits, and the second day after my tour they received me with some fruits again. You feel calm and safe here.

Lovely place to stay. Super comfy bed. And room was already chilled when we arrived. Nice and quiet location too - Not a chicken in sight.

Loved this small hotel on Koh Mook it's situated in the centre of the village near the Pier so most places are an easy walk. Friendly staff and very comfortable beds.

The room was lovely and the staff friendly, even though they couldn’t speak much english. The hotel is nice and close to the pier to walk to, don’t get haggled by taxi drivers for the 50m walk at the end of the pier. Close to the centre so you can walk everywhere. You can rent a bike and ride to Garnet beach (which is really the only good thing about the island). There are also quite a few friendly stray dogs around you can feed and play with (the owner probably won’t be happy we fed the strays 👀)

Very clean and very minimal bugs. I chose this room specifically because another review mentioned it was well sealed from bugs and I found this to be true. Spent 3 nights there and maybe saw a couple small ants in bathroom. No bugs at all in bedroom, I was very impressed. After leaving and deciding to try some high end hotels in Koh Lanta I was greeted by cockroaches every time. I should have appreciated the budget friendly Mook Ing Lay more! Cute puppies, fresh fruit every day brought to you, Not far from beach and restaurants. Highly recommend Miss Island restaurant as well!!!

In room is all what you need: Kettle, frigde, comfortable bed, bathroom with shower. Cleaning everyday, new towels and new pillows every 2 days. Really nice Staff, laundry service 60B/1kg, friendly dogs and beatufiul Garden. Great location- near to market, beach, harbor, restaurants.

It looks as family hotel, with smiley staff (but what else you would expect in Thailand :-)) Room was clean, quite spaceful, ideal for two people. Air con worked, not too loud. Location is good, one minute walk from restaurants, information kiosk, markets.

For a 2 star acomodation, this is great! They cleaned a lot, room looked pretty new and modern, and with anything you needed (also coffee and tea bags in the room).
They were gaving us fresh fruits every day, which was very nice!
They didnt provided a face towel, only a big one for each guest, but all in one was Great!

Very clean, rooms new, silent aircon, comfortable hard beds, staff very friendly, every day fresh fruits in the room.
2 Beaches, main peer of the island and a lot of restaurants nearby (5 min) but not noisy.

In Mook Ing Lay lives a thin dog that is different from the others: She does not have a pack of fellow dogs or an owner that cares about her. She lives on her own, but is longing more for love and affection than any other dog I have met in Thailand or the other countries in Asia I have visited.
She has a white fur, only her head is black and a bit brown. As we did not want to give her a name, we called her "Nameless" ;)
She is afraid of other dogs and some Thai people, but she is in dire need of some good pettings and food. She loves to cuddle and is super kind if you give her attention. If you visit Mook Ing Lay, please greet her from Tobias & Christina and give her some petting. If you want, you can buy dog/cat food in the nearby supermarket for 65baht.
When we took the ferry to Trang, she followed us until the very end of the pier - afraid of the motorcycles. To say goodbye to people that cared for her. Many tears were shed that day.

By the way, the resort itself is pretty good!

The place is very nice. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and they have a good location - just 5 minutes from the beach and close to cafes and shops. I will stay there again next time.:) Good value for the island

Place is well looked after and rooms are a descent size, a sweet elderly lady works there. It’s close to the pier and was pet friendly too

Beautiful, new and clean bungalows & resort area. European standard really, which is a gem to find in Asia for such price. The wi fi was cutting off a lot, but hey, it's holiday time, so just go to the beach and leave the rest of the world behind :)

Close to the pier, supermarket at the corner where u can rent motorbikea...very nice accommodation, cleaned up every day with a plate of fruit and water bottles every day. Owners are very kind! :)

Nice, new, beautiful, perfectly located in 2 steps from everything you need: main pier, shops, beach, etc. Spotless, well kept. Excellent wifi everywhere.
