Mali Resort, Koh Kradan

By far one of the best resorts we have ever stayed, literally paradise island!! Our beach bungalow room was lovely, the bed was so comfy, clean and tidy with Netflix too and it was so quiet in the room at night. The resort itself gorgeous too, big comfy Sunbeds, free snorkel, paddle board and kayak rentals. The restaurant was the best on the island, we tried the Thai food and the Italian and both were 10/10. I had a massage too which was very good. And we loved the little speed boat which took us and our bags from the ferry drop out. Amazing stay and we will be back.

Be aware there is a construction site there st present as the build two apartments. The boat service is fantastic to the resort. There is a limited evening food menu and breakfast is not the best. Asked for poached eggs and was told no can’t have them. Really?
Room had no hot water and was allocated next to the building site.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in Mali Resort. The water is crystal clear, giving you a mesmerizing view that rivals even during a cloudy sky. Family or couple, there will be a wide range of activities to do for both.

And it's very peaceful, also all facilities are free except for the snorkel.
Do not miss the breakfast in Mali Resort. You will regret it.

However I do have a word of caution for those who are planning to kayak or standing boat. In the evening the strong wave will gradually fill the boat with sand and rock until it drowns. Be safe

Spend a week in August, during the raining season at the Mali’s.
Staff was amazing and made us feel right at home. With the limitations typical of being in a small island, they do the best they can to provide the best comfort.
We really enjoyed our week there and would return any day.

Just wanted to share my experience at this amazing spot on the island. The cocktails and pizzas were top-notch! The mixologists really know how to craft a unique and delicious cocktail, and the pizzas were cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The ingredients were super fresh and the flavors were on point. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Heaven on earth!! Such a fantastic place to relax and enjoy your holidays. The hotel is located at the best part of the beach (away from the daily tours), close to a very nice and alive part of the reef (and a sandbank in low tide 😍) and it offers kayak and standup paddles free for usage. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, a few steps away from the sand. The food is great!

Do not believe any of the vicious fake negative reviews posted on here recently. My husband and I are at the resort right now on our honeymoon and we have been blown away by it. Everything from the arrival on the private long tail boat, to the STUNNING paradise beachfront location, the wonderful staff, beautiful teak beach front hut and gorgeous food/drink has been perfect. We are going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming back to London when it’s time to leave. The owners have poured so much love and care into this place and it really shows. Also I’m really confused by some of the negative comments regarding the breakfast provided - there’s pretty much everything you could ask for, from fresh fruit to freshly cooked eggs to pancakes made to order. And everything is ridiculously hygienic and clean. We will be returning as soon as we can. Thanks to all of the team at the resort for making our honeymoon so special.

Best kept secret Resort! Beautiful island with pristine beaches. Great staff with unbelievable service mindset. Our hut was literally on the beach. You step out and you are in the sand! Paddle boarding and Kayaking are simply spectacular activities. Shallow water with amazing marine life.

We have now been to all the islands in southern Thailand over the last few years... Koh Kradan is and remains the most beautiful of all! The beach & the views are amazing..You can stare at the sea for hours and just be amazed.. The Mali resort is very clean & well maintained. The team is very friendly, always helpful and courteous...! Highly recommended, we are really sad to leave but very happy to have been here... This is paradise as everyone imagines!

Closest thing to Heaven on Earth! Perfect!
This place is perfect in every way! Not a single complaint. Drop everything and go! It’s accommodating and comfortable in a perfect paradise. The owner is so kind and does anything to help, and the staff is lovely and nice. Our family stayed here at Mali Resort on Koh Kradan for 5 nights in Feb 2021. The resort is new- only a year old- and the bungalows are gorgeous, with porches overlooking the sea, your own sun beds in front of them under the trees, and easily the softest mattresses in Asia. With the sound of the wind and waves outside- there are beautiful screen sliding doors and glass doors- it’s an incredibly natural and relaxing environment. We would recommend this place to everyone.
We have lived in Southeast Asia for 8 years now and have stayed in at least 400 hotels, and THIS hotel is by far our FAVORITE HOTEL that we have ever stayed in! I would give it a 20 out of 10 if possible.
All paddle boards (sup boards), kayaks, snorkeling equipment, and life vests (even kids’ sizes) are provided for free to the guests, complementary of the hotel.

Superb! The boat ride to/from Trang is gorgeous, the accommodations are built with top-notch materials and construction, the staff are attentive and friendly, and they have all the amenities you need to relax and enjoy the stunning views and surroundings. There is no village on the island, only a few low-key resorts. No roads that I could see. Just beautiful ocean and beach. Great wifi too. Highly recommend, thank you Mali!

Just finishing a great visit at Mali Resort - the rooms are really comfortable, the service great, the owners Derek and Sam are engaged and fun. And of course the island is beautiful and Mali Resort sits on the best part of the beach (the furthest from the island pier) with great snorkeling right off the beach. Unlike many resorts today, Mali doesn’t charge for using their snorkeling equipment and kayaks. Come and enjoy!!!

This was a most beautiful relaxing place for us. The snorkelling is some of the best we've ever see. Derrick does a fine job managing everything. Rooms are all ocean front view, great breakfast, and wonderful staff. We definitely want to return.

This is our 16th Thai island & it’s the best island & accommodation we’ve stayed. The van & boat transfer service were seamless.
The detail & comfort of the rooms is outstanding including having Netflix on T.V! Highly recommend the beachfront villa for the extra space.
The beach is 2 meters from your bungalow - white sand & crystal clear water with comfortable lounges on the beach.
There’s a great beach bar stocked with premium spirits & cold beers.
All staff are amazing & nothing is too much trouble. Food selection is small but incredibly delicious with good portion sizes.
The owners, Derrik & Sam, are American & have a wealth of knowledge for the industry & country & ensure you have an outstanding Mali experience. We can’t wait to return this absolute gem of a place!

Absolutely Amazing! Summary words are modern, tranquil, clean, excellent wifi, friendly, wonderful views, great reefs, beach and activities for all ages.

A new resort that we didn't want to leave and the best on the island! We enjoyed it so much that we cancelled our booking at another resort, left early and returned to Mali Kradan for a 2nd time within a few days! It became our Oasis!

The owner, housekeeping, reception/bar, porter and transportation team were all amazing, kind and hospitable. Rooms are very clean, spacious and inviting. The patio, lounge and bedroom area invites you to explore all 3 areas at different parts of the day depending on what interests you and/or your partner, whether you're inside relaxing or outside doing the same. Bathrooms are very clean and large. They fortunately do not suffer from sewage smells like so many other resorts in Thailand.

The grounds are well manicured and treated, the beach a few steps away and the views amazing. The dogs are so calm, nice and soothing! The reefs in front of the hotel are amazing and whether at low or high tide, you can kayak, snorkel, wade or just lounge in the water.

From emails arranging our transportation to and from the airport or intra-island, to enjoying the hotel and all of its inclusive activities, or whether having drinks from the bar, the owner and his team did a wonderful job with this resort and maintaining its appeal.

The island is small, car-free and a 2 min walk to good restaurants with thai or western cuisine.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have been in Thailand. The bungalows is amazing and just on the beach. The clean and make sure every thing is perfect, even the owner goes around and make sure all the guests having a good time and are happy to answer all the questions you have.
The hotel is on the best part of the beach with sun chairs and snorkeling gear and canoes are free.
They do not have any resurant but you just go to the Italian place to get food and drinks.
If you going to kradan you have to stay here.

Koh Kradan is paradise island and Mali Kradan Resort is beautiful place with pretty garden and good food. The staff is very nice and help us organise transite from and to the island. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable

We have had an amazing stay at Mali Koh Kradan. The resort and the rooms are located directly on the beach. Koh Kradan is an amazing island and the resort is located on the quietest part of the island. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable and have all the amenities you can wish for while staying on a beautiful island in Thailand. We will go back here for sure. Highly recommended.

A place I never wanted to leave. This place is a paradise. Not only are the rooms spectacular but the beach is like something out of a movie. Food and breakfast was excellent. Kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment all free to use which is a huge bonus!

Thank you to Derrik and his staff, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I will definitely come back to Kradan just to spend more time here.
