Koh Mook Villa Cashew Nut

Such a great experience staying here! I fully agree with the other reviews; Yai is an amazing host who really tries to ensure that his guests have a great time. Every time I took his advice it was as he would said it would be. The odd time I tried to pick places on my own, it wasn't nearly as good. He's very genuine and honest. Always going out of his way to be helpful and kind.
The property is so nice to stay on, either in the cabins or tents (tried both). The beds were comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Fans are in all accommodations as well as outlets that are on 24hrs a day. And in the morning there are so many different types of birds singing, you really feel like you're in paradise

Such a nice place to stay, one of my favorites in Thailand! The owner Yai is so welcoming and extremely helpful with everything. He really goes out of his way to help you and make your stay on the island the best.
I stayed in both the bungalow and the tent and really enjoyed them both. If you’re a nature lover you’re gonna sleep well here, and you get a chance to see a lot of different birds hanging around in the cashew trees. I saw the oriental pied hornbill two times in the garden.

We had a great stay at cashew nut villas in one of the tents. The beds are proper mattresses and very comfortable. Shared bathroom that does the job and the location is very central to town and easy to walk to the pier and nearby restaurants

Above all the host is mega friendly and makes you feel welcomed. He helped us book a tour for the day after we checked in which was good fun as well as taking us to sunset beach. He also helped us book a ferry to koh lanta and took us to the pier on time.

Overall I’d definitely recommend staying in the tents and adding something different to your Thailand trip!

We loved our stay here. Firstly, the owner is amazing and so helpful. He does absolutely everything and anything to help you. He picked us up from the pier for free and also took us to Charlie beach for sunset for free too. The tent was a great experience, even in high season it wasn’t too hot and when it rained everything stayed dry. He has really thought of everything and he always want to improve and assist with things to do around the island. He recommend multiple activities. Would definitely stay here again. We tried to extend our booking but unfortunately he was fully booked. 10/10

Wonderful place to stay.

Yai is an incredible and generous host with excellent advice on where to kayak and snorkel. He gave us lifts and even lent us his snorkel kit, and provided water to refill bottles.

Bungalow was beautiful timber, with very large bed, that stayed cool even without air-conditioning thanks to thatched roof, the shade of overhanging cashew nut trees, and powerful fan. The tents also looked like an excellent alternative for the budget conscious.

Yai is defo the highlight , super friendly always willing to help and set up tours for you too. He picked us up when the snorkeling trip was finished- such a lovely surprise when no one else's host did! The bungalow and tents are both lovely - nice and quiet hidden in the jungle. Defo worth a stay to get a different experience and good If you want to meet other travellers too. Thank you for making the stay so special Yai :)

Great Place! The owner is super helpful with a lot of recommendations and proposes to bring and fetch you to different locations. I forgot something and he even send it back per post, very very nice!! The tents are very comfortable and great for nature lovers.

I have met Yai in 2018 and we had the best time there. This year I came back and I was so happy to be back and also see Yai again. He is a truely good soul, helping you wherever you can but also definitely in for a beer or some cocktails 😊 I hope to see you soon, Yai!! 🧡

Such a perfect place to stay on Koh Mook. The tent was perfectly comfortable with several power sockets, a light and even a fan (though the temperature was never too hot at night). The bathroom was clean and the owner has worked hard to create his own water source so there is clean running water. The family that run Cashew were incredibly friendly, welcoming and the children super cute. Yai was extremely helpful with anything and everything, providing free transport to Charlie Beach, booking our onward travel at a good price and even helping us out when stung by a jellyfish! Koh Mook is a wonderful place and Cashew Nut is the ideal place to enjoy it!

Good value for money, nice owner, cute bungalows and beautiful environment. There is no AC and no private bathrooms, but still a valuable experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights and if you can handle the mosquitos it's a real treasure! Had such a nice time in this big tent and the shade of the cashew trees makes the morning sun absolutely no problem!

Yai, the owner of the bungalows has been the best host I've had while travelling. We had a really good time with him, he helped us with everything we needed and drove us around everywhere we needed to go around the island. He also saved our days by giving us delicious fruits for our daily trips in Ko Muk.

We stayed on a tipi and where very comfortable, quiet and it felt like being truly in the nature, under the shade of his cashew trees :), while having a very nice mattress to rest and a ventilator in case it gets to hot. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The location is great, less than 5 min walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.

We loved this place - Yai was the perfect host! Took us to and from the ferry and to sunset beach in the evening (all for free) and organised our snorkelling trip and ferry for a good price.

Accommodation is rustic, lovely setting with cashew nut trees dropping fruit. Shared bathroom is very clean. It’s right next to a street with many restaurants, and the Thai pancake place on the corner is amazing - we went back 3 times!!!

We had a wonderful three night stay here! Yai and his family were great hosts, offering to bring us around the island to see the best sites. The bungalow and shared bathroom were clean and comfortable. Nicely located on the edge of town and next to the Team Restaurant which has delicious cheap food! We wish we could have stayed longer.

P.S. If you don’t want a stray dog to steal one of your shoes in the night you might want to put them inside.

EDIT: Our lost shoe reappeared and Yai was so kind in that he offered to ship it to Chiang Rai for us. Thank you, Yai!!!

Excellent location 10min from the pier. Big tents among the cashew trees. Like staying on a farm off the street. Chickens birds and the sounds of the village life. Yai was a great host and he showed me around the island. The view point hike was arduous and I appreciate you mate. Thank you 😊

Nicest place in koh mook for the price ! Great location close to main areas. The host was so generous and picked us up form pier and took us everywhere we wanted to go !
He give me so many tips on where to visit on the island- he came to watch the sunset with us at Charlie beach !
The accommodation is very suitable for a backpacker - outside toilets and some bugs get in room.

The natural location and great host made this one of the best stays I have ever had. I loved everything about my stay here, from the shady, beautiful cashew trees surrounding the property, to the "glamping" aspect of this stay, to Yai's help on making the best of my stay on Koh Mook. The tents and mattress are very comfortable and clean and tents include electricity (lights, power plugs, a fan). (As this is a tent, bring earplugs because the island has a mosque and the prayer call is early.) Yai, the host, was incredibly helpful, driving his guests around to beaches accompanying them on activities, and giving helpful tips. I paid for a tent and got not just this, but also an authentic island experience. If I'm ever on Koh Mook again, I know where to stay!

Yai was the best host I ever had on any holiday very kind and friendly extremely helpful, picks you up from the pier and dropped us off even took us for a site seeing the tent was so much fun! Just one tip for visitors is to take some mosquito ointment.
The bathroom is clean the experience was unforgettable.
