Garnet Beach (Charlie Beach)

Charlie beach is a must if you visit Koh Mook. - its a clean long sandy beach with many food stalls that sell everything from water to rice dishes - to cocktails (!) You can have a sunbed or a table if you buy something. We had a few beers and some snacks. The sea itself is clean and clear and the beach wasn't too busy - even on a Saturday afternoon.

Great beach. Chilled vibe. Buy and drink or food from the vendors and you can use their sun loungers. Few bars/restaurants at the end of the beach. Enjoyable walk there from centre of town (about 30 mins).

If you are coming to koh mook you can't not go to Charlie beach, gorgeous 360⁰ views, Amazing snorkeling just off the shore and lovely people 🥰 Definitely head over to Mongs bar to grab a bite and drink, you are also able to paint signs to put up which is a lovely relaxing activity to do by yourself or with family..😊 My favourite beach I've been to over here by far.
Can't wait to come back next year.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Charlie Beach, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty of the place. The sandy beach stretched out before me, inviting me to take a leisurely stroll or relax in the warm sun.

As I explored the area, I couldn't help but notice the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The locals were incredibly hospitable and were always happy to share their recommendations for the best spots to eat and drink.

But what really set Charlie Beach apart for me was the stunning sunset views. As the sun began to set, I found the perfect spot on the beach to watch the show. The colors in the sky were nothing short of breathtaking, and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day.

Overall, Charlie Beach exceeded all of my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful beach getaway. Whether you're looking to spend your days lounging on the beach or exploring the local area, Charlie Beach has something for everyone. It was a very good experience for me.

We booked 1 night at Mayow Bungalows and stayed 10 nights because the beach was so nice. Plenty of food stalls for Pad Thai, Leo beer and coconuts. Our most favourite place was „Bab‘s restaurant“ who was smiling from day one and prepared probably 40 dishes for us. After full moon the sea was at its best. Calm and turquoise. There is a restaurant up the hill with a great view over the bay. Kayaks available. Great massage 500THB available.

Certainly worth a visit if you are on Koh Mook. Great place to watch the sunset enjoying a cool beer 🍺

Our favorite beach in Thailand during this visit. Low-key but with food and drink (alcohol and non) available. You can rent a kayak by the hour to snorkel or to go to emerald cave. Emerald cave is a beautiful 30 paddle away in each direction. This is the best and cheapest way to enjoy the cave, but time it correctly with the tides/crowds and bring a waterproof headlamp.

The best beach in Koh Mook with a mesmerising sunset view. The sand is powdery white and the water is clean and crystal clear! Just order your drinks and food, the sun loungers are free of charge. A bit far to walk there (30-40mins), take a taxi to get there ฿50 one way and taxi is easily available, the taxi guy can help you call for more taxis if needed after sunset.
Tips- bring mosquito repellant if staying for sunset.

Very nice beach to stay on, good for a swim during outflow. There are nice two restaurants with good prices and delicious food and shakes...and friendly dogs !🙂 beach is very nice for sunsets. We stayed there for 3 days in 2022 and it was busier than pearl beach but still empty (around 10 people during the g day and for sunset around 40 Thai tourists 😉)

Lovely sunset beach, now at this COVID-19 situation is really quiet beach, perfect to swim, walk and enjoy the sun going down.
Bring some food for 2 nice old dogs there, now without tourists they are starving.

Great beach. Plenty of food/drinks stalls with seating. You can hire kayaks for 100 thb an hour to visit the Emerald cave.

Personally for me one of the best beaches in Thailand- because of the Look - the relaxed atmosphere- Not overcrowded - cool Sunset- small Food area with sunsheltered chairs - behind the Beach is the Taxi area with TukTuk- its normally 50 baht for 8- 10 min to the other side… sadly some garbage behind the Beach - the Beach is also used for the speedboats - so even if your Hotel is on other side-depending on the boat Company - you maybe have to leave the boat here …. Legendary Mong Bar with Good Music and Food - if you want a Good Cocktail- : remind them - ( Strong) twice they were stingy with alcolhol in my Gin Tonic or mojito….but that depends on you…

Beautiful beach to swim, kayak, relax, or have a beer. There wasn't too much trash when we visited so it seems like that is being addressed. There is a stand here that sells drinks and the beers are ice cold, coldest we had so far in Thailand.
