Light My Fire Bar & Restaurant

This place is hands down the best restaurant/bar on the island. The vibe is 10/10 if you like rustic beach bars. The menu options are less extensive than the other restaurants on the island and that means that everything they cook is so much better for it. The Thai green curry is sensational. So much flavor and jam packed with veggies! The fried rice is amazing! Everything is super fresh and worth the walk up to this end of the island. Also, the staff are wonderful! The staff are so friendly and attentive and my husband and I absolutely LOVED coming here. If you choose one spot on Koh Ngai to visit for a drink or dinner, choose this one. 💯❤🤩

I went to Light My Fire two evenings in a row because we had to go back after we visited the first time. The owner is super friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, the live music creates the perfect and the bar has a wide variety of drinks and definitely the coldest bottled beer on the island! I can only recommend!

Great atmosphere, live music every night! The menu is shorter than your average Thai restaurant, but the food they offer was great and they had everything you’d want to eat. The owner is super cool and friendly!

Beautiful place for nature lovers and the ones that are looking for the 'easy' life. Come as stranger and leave as friend- Don is the most generous and warm person and always up for a good laugh. For people that are looking for simple bungalows right at the beach, you can also rent a tent or bring your own with. Great traditional food and party at night for everyone, highly recommended!

This place rocks. Cheaper than the rest of the island, and the live music here is pretty amazing. You’re pretty much a part of the family when you come here. The chef (owner?) came and checked on our food to make sure we liked it. He said He would make something else if we didn’t.

The owner is super nice person😁 My friend was hungry when we arrived at the bar but they didn’t have the food menu. So the owner he cooked some Thai Sausage for us by himself and it was free!!! That a very kind of him 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻

This is one place you would definitely have to visit during your stay at Koh Ngai. We went 2 nights to eat and enjoy the live music. Don, the owner, is a super friendly and talkative person, he cares a lot about his guests and he wants to make sure everyone is having a really good time. The food was delicious, possibly the best green and red curry I’ve eaten in Thailand throughout the trip.

John and his lovely crew humbly made my visit very welcoming. I am a solo traveller and they went that extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Seafood, especially fish BBQ is the local cuisine for Trang and Krabi area - My catch of the was exceptional and I highly recommend Light My Fire Bar & Restaurant on Koh Ngai

Fantastic place. We spend memorable nights at Light my Fire. Don is a wonderful and very interesting person. He created such a great vibe in his beach bar/restaurant. Live music by Thorn, a great singer and guitar player, and with So on percussion. Don also joined with Thai songs from the past. Visiting guests are/become friends and do their songs: opera singer Marisa from San Francisco stunned us with her performance. Yori Swart was fantastic and played some of her own songs and improvised on covers. It felt like gifts, on top of a marvelous time on this paradise island.

Wonderful place to have a nice meal or a cocktail in the evening. The restaurant owner is an incredibly friendly and warm man. In addition to the good food, there is also live music. Can only recommend a visit there.

The best place on Koh Ngai! The owner and the whole team are cordial and wonderful people. Live music every evening. Unforgettable and family atmosphere. We could play music together with the guys. Delicious drinks and food. We miss Light My Fire so much!

One of the most memoreble places Ive visited in Thailand. Great blue margarita and Mojito. Had some good laughs with the owner and a big crab joined the bar just in time for the troubadour to start.
