Hilltop Restaurant

One of the best restaurant I tried in the island.
Portion are nice, fish are huge, everything I tried was tasty. Since I am on the island I tried the spring rolls, chicken satay, red curry, yellow curry, steam fish, crispy pork, stir fry chicken basil, mango sticky rice, Tom yum soup.
Everything was so tasty
The staff is so friendly and speak good English.

An absolutely incredible restaurant that I plan to go back to many times during our trip! It gets busy just after sunset with people coming off Farang Beach so be prepared to relax with a drink whilst the lovely family freshly cook your food. We’ve been struggling to get properly spicy food on Koh Mook so asked for ‘Thai spicy’ and whilst it probably wasn’t up to a Thai person’s spice levels, it was really good. We spent 385B for a prawn massaman (which was phenomenal), stir fried chilli with chicken, papaya salad, 2 steamed rice, and a big bottle of water.

Really big portions compared to other Thai restaurants in islands, probably as big as or bigger than western portions for a very small price.

Very friendly owners who understand what vegan means and have a lot of experience cooking vegan and vegetarian food for themselves, so actually really tasty food. Not as bland as some other restaurants where they just leave out ingredients.
They have a vegetarian section but can make many dishes vegan since she understands and is a good cook!

Among the best restaurants on our trip around the Trang islands. A wide selection of dishes. All the dishes we tried were very satisfying and portion sizes were big. Two dishes made us more than full. Recommending the grilled honey chicken and the holy basil tofu. Chicken was juicy, tender, and the honey overglaze added a special note and was just the right amount of sweet. The tofu held its shape without being rubbery. Dish was well seasoned which the tofu carried well. Spiciness can be adjusted. Service was warm and welcoming. A culinary highlight!

Great bcs it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Best restaurant on the island! It is the cheapest, has the most generous portions, kindest staff and nicest setting and a great location (close to Charlie's beach). Also amazing vegan options, we are obsessed with their curries among other things!

Some of the best food we've had yet in Thailand. Portion control during lunch service didn't exist which was fine by me. I cant recommend the deep fried chicken enough. Its fried with a bunch of garlic and chillis and come out super crispy and fragrant. I had the crispy pork kale which was delicious and my wife had a penang curry which she says has been her favourite curry so far in thailand/malaysia. Nice little spot not far from Charlie beach well worth a visit.

Lovely owner with good English skills selling the best fish on the island. Beautiful place built into the jungle but still right next to the main pathway. Hopefully the island stays that quiet so you don’t have heavy traffic and cars passing by at some point. Reggae bar is close.

We just been here for dinner and it was amazing. Big plates and good drinks for a very good price. It's the best restaurant for us on the island. The cook is Song and she will make you smile anytime. PS. You can always ask for more garlic 🧄

A real find. Tong and her family are so lovely. Food is really good - Penang Chicken and Mixed Veg with cashews was more than enough for 3 people. Taste was the best on the island. Can’t wait to come again.

This is some of the best food we’ve had in Thailand so far. The food is so delicious and the service is fantastic. The portions are big and the atmosphere is great. Would recommend any dish - the curries are particularly delicious! Thank you :)

Cute family business, the owner aka mom speaks very good english and constantly makes sure everyone's happy with their food and everything else! Food is delicious, loads of choices, portions are massive (me and my mom could easily share one curry for example). Waiting time is very reasonable! And the atmosphere is exceptional!!

Undoubtedly the finest restaurant on the island, this restaurant, managed by the friendliest family, is open throughout the day. The portions are generously sized, setting it apart from most other restaurants here, and the food is simply exceptional, no matter your selection be it hot pan, shrimp dishes, pad thai, and, without a doubt, their mango shake – your taste buds will thank you. The scenic view from the vantage point is breathtaking. Notably, it's the only place here that refrains from playing intrusive western music, offering a pleasant atmosphere with charming and cozy lighting.

Amazing family run restaurant where you feel welcomed by the whole family, the food was so delicious we ended up having dinner here for all 3 nights we were on Koh Mook. The portions are large & the price is extremely reasonable which our waist bands didn't thank us for by the end of the 3 nights

Easily the best thing about the island and to be honest the highlight of my trip in Thailand. We felt so welcomed by the family from the start and were served delicious food with generous portions throughout. The location is great as the restaurant sits on top of a hill with amazing view and if we were to travel to this island we would have stayed much closer to the restaurant and spent much less time in the city part. I especially loved their hotpan, spring rolls, pad thai and panang noodle soup but would try any of the dishes. Their ingredients are best quality and fresh and it was one of the few places where the prawn actually tasted of prawn! No to mention the amazing their smoothies that beats any other smoothie place on the island.

Amazing food from this family run restaurant. Portion size is unreal (we got leftover takeaways and had lunch the day after). The family is very kind and attentive. And the place is lovely. One of the best spots in Koh Mook.

Super cute place with great food. Perfect to finish off the sunset at the Charley beach and go and have dinner at the Hilltop. Bare in mind it can take a while when it gets busy. Portions are big! The chonkiest spring rolls I have ever seen.

Amazing authentic food, catering to vegetarian very well. The location is beautiful sitting surrounded by nature and the owners are very pleasant. Don’t miss this food stop on your way to or from Charlie beach!

Outstanding Penang curry and spring rolls. Best spring rolls you’ll eat in Thailand guaranteed. The bar has been set 😂 and all in a nice setting surrounded by trees. Definitely recommend
