Mookies Bungalow

We enjoyed four wonderful days at Mookies. The staff was extremely friendly and organized every trip we made. Also the food at the Restaurant was very delicious. Last but not least it is situated just a few minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches i ever saw.

A lovely place to stay, less than 5 minutes walk from beautiful Charlie Beach (Haad Farang, Sunset Beach).

We stayed in a very well maintained and spotlessly clean stone AC bungalow. From our balcony we could enjoy the lush surrounding garden. In the morning it was wonderful to wake up to the soothing sound of birds. There were also some monkeys jumping around and we even spotted hornbills in the trees right in front of our room.

The site is spacious and very well looked after. Good breakfasts are served in the nice open restaurant, where also delicious dinners can be prepared. Try the mouthwatering steamed fish with mango sauce!

Mookies Bungalows is run by a sympathetic team of (mainly) women. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Bicycles and motorcycles are available for rent and of course excursions to the not-to-be-missed Emerald Cave are on offer, as well as excellent massages. Transport to your further destination can be easily arranged here too.

We found Mookies Bungalows to be the perfect place to explore the relaxing island of Koh Mook and even stayed longer than we had originally planned. Definitely would choose to stay here again on a next visit!

What can I say. The most welcoming hostess, lovely cool rooms and amazing help in finding and booking activities. Also, really close to the best beach. If you don't book here, you need your head checked. Wonderful place and wonderful staff.

We loved our stay at Mookies. The location was great with just a few minute stroll to Charlie beach. The facilities were always spotless and comfortable. They offer a small group tour to Emerald Cave and Koh Kradan. This was a huge highlight and very affordable.

Above all the staff at Mookies were some of the kindest people we met in Thailand. They helped us book anything we needed and went above and beyond to help.

Would highly recommend staying here.

Nice place with sounds of the jungle around you. Close to Charlie Beach with the most stunning sunsets on the island. Nice and cosy bungalows, helpful stuff.

Perfect location for getaway from city, few minutes walk to best beach (Charlie beach) in the island, suited nicely in the forest. Good food for dinner if you don't want to go to town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cabins well maintained and cozy inside.

I had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic with monkeys and lots of birds in the trees. The staff and management are so nice and helpful. I got ill and they looked after me very well. The restaurant is fantastic and the massage too. Thank you Mookies

This is the perfect accommodation to base yourself when visiting Koh Muk. The breakfast is delicious and the room is comfortable with beautiful garden views. The staff are amazing, so kind and helpful. We found the people in Koh Muk to be the friendliest and kindest we’ve met so far in Thailand.

This was a beautiful stay. The bungalows are not super flashy, but we were not her to stay inside. The highlights of this place is the extremely friendly and accommodating staff, the delicious breakfasts (get the pancakes) and the location. Koh Muk is probably the best island in Thailand. It's off the beaten trail, but that's what makes it magic. This resort is walking distance to the best beach on the island. Next time I'd stay in an air-conditioned bungalow.

Set in the beautiful nature. Can see the monkeys and hornbills in the large trees surrounding the property. Good veg food options too we could have everything on the menu made veggie/vegan

Our family (with two kids 6 & 8 years) really loved this place, especially because of the friendly and helpful staff!! The bungalows are very clean and is a fabulous price-value ratio!

The bungalows are primitive, but comfortable and clean. I loved just sitting on the front porch and enjoying the island breeze. Easy walk to Charlie Beach and 50 baht will get you a taxi to the other side of the island. There's not a lot to do here and it's the kind of place where you can really appreciate not doing a lot.

We are two couples in our 60's and stayed at Mookies for three nights at the end of February 2023.

Mookies is a family-friendly economy-priced resort on Ko Mook. It is conveniently located very near to Charlie Beach which is probably the cleanest and most beautiful beach on the island. The staff here are very pleasant and always ready to help their guests. There are only a few restaurants in this neighbourhood, so the excellent food services provided here is welcomed. The bungalows are adequate and clean, but perhaps should be a little better maintained.

Best massage I have ever had in my life by far! Very friendly and extremely knowledgable ladies

Lovely little houses near the best beach on the island. We were lucky to see ape’s behind the house.
The staff made me feel at home at any time and was more than just helpful.
Dinner at the restaurant was great too..

Wan is a great host! She helped us out with everything we needed. We had a fan bungalow with moskito nets outside the windows and door. 10 minutes walk to Charlie beach. You can rent a scooter from Mookies to visit the "city centre". All very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Best place to stay! Wonderful staff!! Wan was an incredible host and so accomodating. Best massages as well! Short walk to the beach and close to the town centre. Favourite place on the Island! P.S they have really cute dogs ❤❤

If you arrive at Charlie Beach by Speed boat do Not pay more than 50 baht for TukTuk- because it’s just 8 min walking- nice People here - friendly reception - Bungalows with Charme - so i am happy here - small fridge and silent! Ventilation- no Safe on my room - but coffee and water heater. Bed with moscito - net - I am ok with that… it’s around 15 - 20 min walking to the other side - where the village is - or around 8-10 min driving by TukTuk (normaly 50 baht ) mookies can arrange further Trips for you as well - Seems they offer fresh Fish dishes -
Keep in mind it’s Jungle behind with monkeys in trees- tokay -geckos can be loud on the roof of your Bungalow at night- the dogs sometimes sleep on your veranda an can take your shoes- my Tipp: no good shoe outside at night- mine was my favourite i bought in Bagan-

...such a beautiful place! Very close to the best beach of Ko Mook. Rooms are superclean, equipped with everything necessary and the garden is gorgeous! Wan, the host, is very friendly, open, funny and caring. The staff is attentive, friendly and willing to cater all your needs. The restaurant serves delicious food. We are happy that we stayed at this very place on Ko Mook and would definitely love to come back:)))

Great location between the main beach and the village. Very happy and helpful staff, they even looked after our twins while we had a 2h massage. The massage center located here is also highly recommended. Ideal for families, good value!
