Wat Khao Chong Chat

Wonderful to come see the temple with a girlfriend and her mum I am not very good at climbing as I am 67 but I made the effort and climbed to the very top to ring the bell and bang the gong I will return in April I would advise anyone you have to be quite fit but worth the challenge

A beautiful temple with an even more beautiful view. I recommend visiting in the evening at sunset when you can watch the wonderful scenery.

A quiet hilltop discovery... Wat Chong Khao Khat is a remote temple we found on our trip through Udon Thani province. The setting was a perfectly peaceful place to appreciate this small temple and the views beyond. If you are touring through Udon Thani, be sure to add this to your Google Maps trip planner.

This place is very beautiful and have very big monk also.. like the pictures and is very good view, when you on the top then you can see everything. 👍 when you come to Udonthani should not miss to visit this place, Recommended! 😊👍

Amazing and peaceful temple and uddha image hidden on top of the moutain. Accidentaly found this palce when passed by. Highly recommended to pay a visit.

เงียมสงบเหมาะสำหรับการทำสมาธิ และบรรยากาศดีมาก ต้นไม้เขียวขจี

องค์พระประธาน งดงามมากครับ บรรยากาศดีมากครับ

ระหว่างที่เดินทางออกจากวัดเขาตะเภาทอง เพื่อเดินทางไปยังขอนแก่น ก็จะมองเห็นพระพุทธรูปสีขาวองค์ใหญ่อยู่ลิบๆ คุณภรรยายังพูดอยู่เลยว่าวัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ตรงไหนหนอ อยากไปไหว้จัง เลยได้แต่บอกว่าน่าจะอยู่คนละเส้นทางที่จะไปขอนแก่นมั้ง ก็เลยไม่ได้หาข้อมูลกันต่อ
ขับรถไปเรื่อยๆจนเริ่มขึ้นเขา ทางเริ่มชันขึ้นๆ จะมาถึงยอดเขา พอโผล่พ้นโค้งเท่านั้น ถึงกับอุทานพร้อมกันเลยว่า นี่คือ พระพุทธรูปสีขาวองค์ใหญ่ที่เราเห็นตอนออกจากวัดโน่นนี่หว่า จึงรีบเลี้ยวรถเข้าไปจอดโดยพลัน
ที่ตั้งของวัดอยู่บนยอดสุดของเขานี้เลย
บรรยากาศที่วัดเงียบสงบมาก นานๆจะมีรถขับผ่านพร้อมบีบแตรให้ได้ยินสักที
เมื่อมองตรงเข้าไป จะเห็นบันไดทอดยาวขึ้นไปหาพระพุทธรูปสีขาวองค์ใหญ่ประดิษฐานอยู่ ด้านข้างบันไดทั้งสองด้านจะขนาบด้วยรูปปั้นพญานาคสีทองอร่ามตา
เมื่อขึ้นไปถึงด้านบนแล้ว ก็ไหว้พระขอพรกันได้เลย
ใต้ฐานพระใหญ่ จะมีพระพุทธรูปสีทองหลายองค์ในปางต่างๆให้กราบไหว้ด้วย นอกจากนั้นยังมีประวัติการสร้างพระใหญ่ให้อ่านด้วย
ชั้นบนจะมองเห็นวิวได้ 360 องศากันเลย ลมเย็นสบาย ไม่ร้อนเลย
เมื่อลงมาด้านล่าง ด้านขวามือจะมีพระพุทธรูปหลากหลายรูปประดิษฐานอยู่ และมีจุดชมวิวผาสามแผ่นดินให้ดูวิวด้วย
ทางขึ้นอาจจะเดินขึ้นลำบากสำหรับผู้ที่มีปัญหาเรื่องไขข้อกันบ้าง
ด้านข้างของจุดชมวิว จะมีพระพุทธรูปสีทององค์ใหญ่ให้กราบไหว้ขอพรกันด้วย
ถ้าผ่านมาทางนี้แวะไหว้พระ ขอพร ชมวิว กันได้เลยไม่ผิดหวังแน่นอน หรือ จะตั้งใจมาที่นี่โดยตรงก็จะยิ่งดีเข้าไปใหญ่เลย
