Cross River Kwai

The view is one never to be missed! We got the ones above the river. The sunrise view is amazing. While we can't see the sunset, the beautiful sky made up for it.
There's the occasional speedboat that rock the room depending on the size of the waves, so that's one thing to get used to. I fond it interesting though.
The food options can take some improvements, but I would say they're acceptable.
Overall highly recommend just based on the room alone.

The hotel is clean. The zone I stayed in is a villa with an private pool. There is a very wide living room. The surrounding atmosphere is very good. There are water activities to play. The breakfast here is very delicious. There are many menus to choose from. And still eat unlimited If you have the opportunity to come back to stay again, the staff here are good, smiling and friendly. Give me very good advice.

I was staying at the Cross River Kwai in the winter period, it such the unforgettable experience with my family and friends.
The weather is good , looking at every where is green, river view , room is nice and well designed, breakfast is full options.

We really had the happy memories

Just spent four nights here and I really enjoyed it, my wife was a bit less impressed. It's in a super location, if a little remote from any of the main sites of Kanchanaburi so that means if you are a foreigners and have no transport then you are a captive market and pay for it. All rooms overlook the river and it's quite tranquil so you can definitely rest up. The staff are excellent, from Meaw who greeted us, Ying who was front of dining and the cleaners all was great. The infinity pool is great, there is kayaking or cycling as well. We dined 4 nights and ate different meals everyone which were all tasty and great. My wife's problem was the industrial aspect of some of the rooms, ours looked like a container unit from outside, plus some finishings are minimalist BUT the room was very big, well equipped, great bath area and a big bed on the terrace, there is one in the room. The minor issues we had were quickly sorted and all in all I was very impressed. It is expensive and hassle to get into the main area of Kanchanaburi, plus alcohol is a expensive as well but I really liked this place.

Great experience so far. Great view and decent food and their service is great. Pity kids under 15 can't do kayak. A safety issue. Must get their mama noodle.

I spend time in the winter at Cross River Kwai, got a good atmosphere and got a warm welcome from the staff. All staff are smiling. Make me feel very well loved. Impressive!

It's totally a memorable experience for my family. We struggled with a problem of airconditioning in one of our rooms but when they had a vacant room available, they offered us an upgrade which was fair enough. Other aspects of the hotel were great including facilities, service, staff, etc. I will definitely bring my love ones
back there again.

The place is wonderful in every sense of the word, as if you're living in paradise on earth. The villas on the river were magnificent and beautiful, and the view was stunning. The pool, although small, its view and design make you feel it's spacious. There is no halal meat available, but there are vegetarian options. It is hard to find a car to take you to the city unless you order it from the front desk. The resort staff are very friendly, always smiling, and strive to serve you tirelessly. This is the second time I've chosen this resort, and I will visit it every time.

Great place to relaxing with clam atmosphere. Staff r lovely and full of service mind. The location is fantastic we r really love when the sun rising view in front of our room

Stunning place to stay, appreciate the quiet beauty of the river kwai with beautiful spacious rooms. Our family, using adjacent rooms were overwhelmed at the quality of this hotel and attention detail given by the staff and manager.
Free kayaking and paddle boarding available, as well as a jet sky(check cost) plus a lovely infinity pool overlooking the river.
The restaurant provides excellent food in taste and appearance.
The hotel also helped to organise a day trip to "The bridge over the river kwai, the death train and erawan water falls" which was an exceptional experience not to be missed!
Great for families or couples, we just wish we'd booked two nights not just one.

Good experience with Cross River Kwai.

The weather is very good for now (December), all in the hotel is very good, the service staff are good, everyone is smiling, plus the food is delicious.

Warm and cozy place. We enjoyed delicious food and appreciated the best service from all the friendly and lovely staffs. Can't wait to visit this stunning place again!

Nice hotel, you’ll see reviews are positive and for good reason. This hotel is a breath of fresh air for the area and worth treating yourself to a few days of luxury whilst visiting this area.

Xfloat bungalows with canoe was a great idea, even if you’re not that way inclined the water is flat and current soft so very safe and a nice way to see the countryside in the early mornings. Wouldn’t advise doing that at noon like some, definitely an early morning or evening pastime.

Evening meals are very nice, tea delivered to the rooms every evening, even a nice French cafe biscuit included, which shows the thought behind this resort. The American breakfast I had was not quite up to 5star, but generally that’s just small detail, we enjoyed this hotel very much, best asset, its female staff. Even the gardening staff wanted to help me carry a small bag of fruit to my car this morning, exceptional service.

I stayed at the hotel in December. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the surroundings were full of green trees. All staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Floating house is really nice! Kids are having fun and adults can have a relaxing kayak!

My recent stay at the Cross River Kwai Hotel in Thailand was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and amazing service.
The hotel's location is beautiful, with amazing views of the River Kwai. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a very quiet and relaxing place to stay, away from the busy and noisy city.
The rooms at Cross River Kwai Hotel were large and had lots of space. I like their balcony because it had an amazing view of the river. The hotel has provided many good amenities like television, Bluetooth speaker and international plug. Visitor can also enjoy free kayaking there. It was really comfortable and lovely.
The restaurant in Cross River Kwai Hotel was really really great. The restaurant had lots of yummy Thai and international food like tomyam, pad thai and french fries that was made with fresh ingredients and tasted super good. The breakfast buffet had lots of different kinds of food like cereal, yogurt and mama mee to choose from.
I was very satisfied staying in this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves nature, and wants to try their great service and a real taste of Thailand. I will go back again when I visit Thailand.

3 hours drive from Bangkok, cross river Kwai hotel is a gem to escape from the big city’s noise and dirt.
We’ve stayed at the waterfall Villa with private pool. The vila is beautiful and well designed. A true masterpiece. Hand down , one of the best pool Villa I’ve ever encountered. The Villa itself is brand new (built 6 months ago) , consist of 3 floors , fully equipped. Everything at the Villa was branded with funny slogans and graphics which really adds fun touch to the place.

Few notes:
1- the hotel staff was very welcoming when we arrived. I would be careful to say that it event was kind of alarming that all 7 staff members were at the lobby when we arrived. Welcome drink was good.
2- staff was very kind but it was hard to communicate with them as most of them don’t speak English.
3- food was good but I think it can be better and plating can be more attractive.
4- the AC’s boxes outside the rooms and Vilas should get covered with something. It really damages the hotel’s aesthetics
So if you are looking to a a few peaceful days by the Kwai river and might explore the area , you won’t find a better place to stay, I assure you that.
5- in room dining ends at 9:30. That’s very early.
6- Jen the masseur from the spa was amazing.

Keep in mind that the resort is 15 mins drive from the city center which is not a problem to take a taxi to get there.

A highlight of our whole trip to Thailand. The atmosphere is peaceful and romantic, we had our own floating house. I spent hours reading in the vanishing edge pool over the river. Food and service top notch, especially Prai. Was very sweet and took care of us
