Amazing experience. We absolutely enjoyed top quality food. The personnel was really professional and kind. I strongly recommend this place to Japanese cuisine enthusiasts.

Certainly one of the greatest dining experiences we have ever had. The quality of the food was indescribable - the way it was prepared and served was an experience. Extremely friendly and courteous service. Excellent wines. If you are looking for an extraordinary experience - you will find it here. Of course, there is a price to pay - but it is reasonable for the food & service. Hopefully we'll be back again very soon.

Authentic and genuine Japanese Sushi restaurant in Bratislava, which has no sea! It’s a magic!
Every Edomae style Sushi is made carefully and well taken cared of by the sushi chef Peter. He was trained all about Sushi in Japan. He has a great sense! The warm food is created by the chef Takeuchi. He is full of ideas and providing new menu permanently. I’m surprised and amused every time I come here! Another reason which pulls me back to this place is that the atmosphere and the perfect service!
Reservation is a must! There are 7 seats around the counter bar, just like a high-end Sushi bar in Tokyo!

Absolutely amazing evening! This was one of the best dining experiences we ever had. The food was an absolute highlight, the staff is super friendly, also giving us tips for our next journey to Japan. We will definitely come back.

Highly recommend a night at Edomae! Liked a lot the private and quiet vibe with low background music and personal interactions with the chef. The menu gave us a huge variety of different fish and flavors - dishes that one normally doesn’t order at a regular sushi night.

A pristine, exquisite experience. The fish was fresh and delicious, the service exceptional, the chef was an expert, studied in Tokyo. Most likely the best Japanese restaurant in Central Europe. Highly recommend!

Forget Iasai or any other recommendations, this place has no competitor here within this category.
It's very small (only 8 seats), but has beautiful setting & atmosphere. Staff was trained in Japan, and service is top notch. Price per person was about 140 EURO for a 9 course meal.

Ok, this place deserves to be #1 in Bratislava and probably East Europe. Unique experience that will open to you a real beauty, simplicity but at the same time a true Japanese culture and cuisine! Extremely recommended place. You can pre order two types of course: 90 and 120 euro and trust me , u won’t regret spending this money. Sushi

WOW. My partner and I visited Edomae and had a wonderful experience. The entrance is unassuming, but transforms to a very modern, intimate dining room in the cellar. Peter is a highly trained sushi chef and you get to watch the magic happen from your seat. Every single course and bite was incredible. The staff was all very professional and I could tell they take pride in their work. I would say this was the best meal I've ever had. Absolutely fantastic! I would recommend a dinner here to anyone looking for a delicious meal prepared by a talented chef.

We went to the restaurant for my wife's birthday. She loves japanese food but cannot eat raw fish. I contacted the restaurant and they agreed to provide a special menu for my wife and me. We had six to seven courses and each of them was amazing. I don't remember when last I had such a delicious meal.
The ambiente of the restaurant is unique and the right place for a special occasion.
I only can recommend this restaurant and I am sure that I will come back.

We were here just moments before. From atmosphere to people to food. This is an experience which should everyone go through at least once in a life time.

We just had the most wonderful, serene dining experience at Edomae Sushi Matsuki. From the moment you enter the restaurant via the beautiful stone garden, you step into the world of Japanese dining. Perfect quality fish, surprising textures and an allround wonderful composition. Highly recommend!

1 star for the cosy decor. 1 star for the exquisite sake. 1 star for the real wasabi. 1 star for the fresh fish. 1 star for the extraordinary taste, and 5 stars total for this experience. Probably as close to Japanese level you can get without actually going to Osaka.
