This is a castle with a lot of history. You can walk the grounds for free but I recommend you get a tour (they have in english as well and the guide spoke great english) which is the only way to get in to the castle. You have to pay 2 euro to take photographs. The english tour is not very often so check that before going, we happened to get very lucky with our timing.
Also we went here using the public transport system from Bratislava which was quite a hassle and not something I recommend during the hot summer. I think renting a car is the easiest way to get here.
The tour was very interesting and is something I highly recommend to learn more about Slovak history and how life was at the castle. There was also beautiful paintings and portraits, there was a collection of Piranesi paintings that were exquisite

One of the best castles I’ve seen. I recommend to take the big tour and see all the more than 20 beautiful decorated rooms and the different Interieur from all over the world. Don’t forget to visit the cellar with its huge halls and the very deep well.
If you visit it on the first Sunday in the month entry is for free. Huge parking for free.

Hrad Červeny Kamen (Red Rock Castle) is one of castles in Slovakia. It is very popular, interesting and convenient place for visit. There is spacious parking, nice garden, a lot of flower, souvenir shops, coffee shops. Castle, garden, parking are free of charge. Museum charge is 7 euro for adult. Recommend!

Beautiful castle, well worth visiting with family and kids. The place has been nicely renovated, but it's apparent that further funds are needed, as some painting are still damaged with holes. So please donate as much as you can :)

One of my favourite castles in Slovakia, Red Rock Castle is a stunning complex located in a blissfully serene natural landscape. Great tours are available along with good Coffee options on site.

It's a beautiful place to visit. We've only been on he outside because we didn't check he closing times for the inside tour. Now, during the Autumn/Winter they close at 15:30. But anyway we had some beautiful views from the outside. There is a Coffee shop and a Taverner outside.

Castle is located in the nice environment. When we were on our guided tour the wedding was held here. I imagine that the wedding feast must have been incredible. I highly recommend this place for visit because you will find out interesting facts from our history.

Really great place with many rooms and huge under castle storage. Great refreshments and history. Sadly no English tour guide but you get two sheets explaining many things in each room.

My personal highlight of the trip through the region! For one, because there's plenty of various options to keep your family busy (sleeping beauty theatre for kids, birds of prey zoo with a show, guided tours through the castle, and so on) or just enjoy the stay in the courtyard with a drink or snack from the restaurant on site. On the other hand, in the staircase up to the western bastion, there are pictures about how the site looked before restauration started. The place was literally brought back from a devastating state to a nicely polished castle with the support buildings a castle used to have. Definitely worth a trip. Beware of the opening hours in the off-season, though, as you might end up with no guided tours going and thus not being able to enter the rooms.

Although this castle is a bit out of Bratislava, we really enjoyed the tour and the grounds. We purchased the Bratislava Card, so the bus ride there and the tour of the castle and the cellars was no extra cost for us, but if you don’t have the card, I think the tour is around 6 or 7€. We barely had anyone on our tour, so even though it was in Slovak (English tours are only on weekends, but they do give you a handout to read about each room), we still felt like the tour was personalized. And the cellars are a must see!

Beautiful castle with a huge exposition. The gardens around are beautiful - a lot of seats, very old nice trees, suitable for families with children, ...

The viewing deck was closed but still it was a beautiful place. The restaurant on site had the best homemade food I had so far in Slovakia.

Nice place for family visit or to explore this historical place.

Adults can see the interior with guided tour after payment of visitors fee. Outside premises are free of charge.

It offers many attractions for children inside or outside - most of them require entrance fee.

In the areal are many souvenir shops (at least during weekends) and some quick-bite stands or even a restaurant.

Parking is usually very limited during weekends (fully crowded).
