Beautiful Memorial here. There is a decent climb of stairs, picture attached too (if you come from Bratislava Hlavna direction). Grounds are very clean and very well looked after. Beautiful everywhere. The views of the city are astonishing too! For tourists there are information boards explaining everything that is here too. Well worth a visit here. Not many people know there is a bunker just behind here too. Have a look at that too.

Worth the walk up. We ended up walking past most of the national Embassy's on the way up which was interesting. There is a bus route that takes you up too.
The views from here are spectacular but the main reason to visit is to see the Red Army memorial and remember those who perished in WWII.

Well worth the climb through the steep streets to reach this site. Everywhere is well kept and clean, plus there’s plenty of signs throughout the site explaining the history and what each of the sections are. The views over the city below are impressive and there’s many good photo opportunities. A peaceful site with sad history but it’s a must-visit place when in the city.

It is a memorial cemetery of WWII. It is situated at the highest point of the steep hill and has amazing views of the city!

Worth the hike if you got the time. As a history landmark it is sad, of course, graves and such, but as a statue, viewpoint and small park around it - it's great to visit. Although not listed anywhere as an attraction. You can combine the visit with going to the castle.

Beautiful place. I think I witnessed the best sunset I've ever seen here. Highly recommend visiting but it's a bit of a walk uphill if you're going in foot

A beautiful place, which I recommend reaching by walking through the stairs that lead up to this mountain, the views are worth it at the top. Many heroes are solemnly honored here. Very nice place.

Approaching the monument, I was struck by its commanding presence atop the hill, overlooking the city. The serene and solemn atmosphere added to the reverence of the site. The perfectly manicured lawns and meticulously maintained surroundings contributed to the sense of dignity and respect.

Slavín is a war cemetery located on a hill overlooking the city, whose liberation by the Read Army in April 1945 is here commemorated. The central obelisk is 39 meters high and on top of it there's a statue by Alexander Trizuljak of a victorious Soviet soldier carrying a flag. The visit is free and is a nice place to walk around.

Beautiful view from the highest point. It got quite windy and colder here in October as compared to Old town.

Wonderful memorial ( leave politics and current affairs aside ) recognising the sacrifices of so many young men. Get the bus.

I find this place impressive and beautiful. It is quite uphill. If you don't want to take the stairs everyone is talking about, you can take bus 47 to Budkova station. From there it is a relatively short walk downhill, with a very nice view from one spot (I added a photo of this view).

A war memorial that should be visited both for its historical values and for its views of the city and the castle.

You can take a bus to Pod Stanicou and then climb quite a few stairs and you will be greeted by the monument and the incredible views.

From the monument you can have a nice, pleasant walk through a very unique neighborhood towards the castle.

Beautiful memorial to those who lost their lives in World War II.

The area is really well kept and peaceful, offering a chance to sit and take in the beautiful views over the city of Bratislava.

We used a scooter to get to the top of the hill to avoid walking up, and I saw the panoramic bus which departs from the main square up there as well.

A monument in memory of the Red Army soldiers who liberated the city from the Nazis. Great views of Bratislava!
