Frais restaurant, coctails, vine

I've been here more that few times since my review and loved every dish. Really good vegetarian options and the will make it vegan if you want as well. So 5*

I mean it's a really nice restaurant but somehow I was not overwhelmed.
The crispy pork was not crispy - but still nice.
And the pasta was way too al dente with underperforming sauce & meat.
The duck liver pate tasted of morning I'm really sorry to say and the bread with it was ...
Anyway I expected better
But the wine was way too expensive for the quality.

Staff were friendly hence the extra star.

Excellent restaurant in the center of Banska Brystica. The best value for money that I have found so far in Slovakia. Superb saffron risotto with prawns and delicious duck with sweet potato mash. The cocktails including a couple of signature ones really yummy and well presented for a pittance. Friendly service.

Very good food quality mostly Italian style, and local beer, for affordable price. Try some pasta.

Nice staff & perfect food

Banska Bystrica is my home town although I have lived in Chicago for the last 15 years. I ate here for the first time last night. I had the zucchini and cherry tomato risotto and my boyfriend had the black rice risotto. The food was unbelievably delicious and service was great. My only complaint was that there is a smoking section in the back and you could smell cigarette smoke all the way to the front of the restaurant. But not a real issue to me. Congratulations, you have a real gem here. This restaurant is comparable to any fancy 4 or even 5 Star (Italian) restaurant in Chicago.
