This place is very specific for the town and town Banská Bystrica is very lucky to have such an environment. I have been there a year ago in the day time and this year in the evening. I had such a relaxing and calm time that it did not come to my mind to take pictures. We were lucky to see Martin Tóth there. I enjoyed my coffee with chocolate peak ( špic). Children ran up and down, danced, played in the little fountain. People were chatting and chattering. I thing everyone felt free and unstressed. Go there and feel the freedom in the air ;)

Probably the most amazing place and space (of a hipster sensitivity, luckily without too much attitude and fake style) in Banska Bystrica and one of the best of its kind in Slovakia. A huge garden decorated with art installations, a culture space, outside concerts, inside theater, nice craft beers, excellent cakes (if any), pretty friendly staff (that does not hunt you outdoor to order on and on - which is a welcome change of concept) ... all wrapped between old brick walls, trees with obligatory lightbulbs, or even the urban garden patches. Garden style sitting, benches, sometimes a swing.

Gay friendly (and in general minority friendly) - but not your usual western exclusive gay bar. Here the hipsters meet queens meet "ordinary guys" meet families with children meet neighbors meet artists - in a nice diversity that gives it a balance, with somewhat more civilian feel, a space where communities intersect.

This is a place to "go out" and in the same time to rest and relax in the middle of the town. The Garden is really a green garden - with a soothing quality. Wish it was not closed that often on summer weekend evenings, when the entry is only with the tickets - for the various performances. ;)

We're coming here with friends often and the place is always live, there are dogs a lot and sometimes small children but there's plenty of space outside so they don't irritate you. Also plenty of beverages to choose from, some of which are home made. All and all, great place.

My favourite Place in Bystrica for socializing, for drinking good local beers and relaxing in the beautiful Garden. My kids love the children area and the freedom or running around. Also excellent for cultural alternative events and for Theatre.

Great place for cultural events especially live performance or concerts due to a team of professional sound engineers. Great choice of drinks at the bar and chill out atmosphere in the outside premises. Highly recommend!

A good family cafe. I went here often when I was in Banska Bystrica. Recommended menu from me is hot chocolate. They were really good. With music which not really loud.

The hotspot for alternative and artsy culture in Banská Bystrica. They have concerts and raging parties as well as day time event for the whole family! I have many a fond memory of Záhrada, both sober and otherwise.
