Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art

This is a bona fide quality Andy Warhol museum with many originals. Definitely worth a visit. Very friendly English speaking staff. Prints and t-shirts at the gift shop are substantially cheaper than you will find anywhere west of Prešov.

Unexpected gem in slovakian province. Interesting and very rich exhibition on Warhol is one thing but the selection of other contemporary artists' (Haring!) works was a pleasant surprise.

An amazing place. Hidden in the middle of a small, quiet Slovakian town. Well equiped with Andy's works and works made by creators inspired by him and artist who used to work with him in the past. Mgical place. The only Andy Warhol's museum in Europe, firts in the world one of three on the globe. Well whorth a while!!!

A very inspiring place to visit. Lots of Warhol's pop art to see, as well as family photos. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.

Great surprise and dive into the life of one of the greatest artists of the XXth century

Excellent exhibition, well worth the visit! Missed English translation for temporary exhibition. The museum shop could offer some more variation of merchandise. A consideration for future could be a small museum café (as there are no refreshment/food options in the surrounding).

Pretty good memories for this outstanding artist with origins from the area of this town. The museum is a dominant of the town and one of its main attractions. The gallery is pretty nice with a lot of interesting masterpieces. The reconstruction and modernization are planned so it would be an even more interesting place to visit here in this region.

Considering that Medzilaborce are at the end of the world, this was a really good experience, the staff does speak English, the only disadvantage of the museum, and the city itself is it's large distance from other major cities.

Suprising what a beautiful museum is in the small town at the "end of the Slovakia". Reserve at least an hour, better 2 hours - worth it. Comparable with international galleries. Nice merch shop! Kind staff!

Great museum. Nice to see Andy Warhol work 😍 staff speak English. Building and space is like frozen from 1980 or 1970😊, but it is ok. I do not understand why you can not make any photos. 😑

this is one of the most special places you can visit in Slovakia. it is located in the middle of nowhere near the village where Andys mother was born and lived. the city of medzilaborce where the museum is located combines sometimes absurd images of human endeavour with untouched nature in the surroundings, The museum itself is run by very well educated staff that will explain to you not only all the mystics around Andy warhols works that are located in the museum but also of other well known modern artists in pop art. there is a planty of originals located in the museum that one wouldn't expect to see in such distant place. you can also see exposition of pictures taken by a famous Slovak musician on his travels that are rather breathtaking. so to summarise, this is a "must see" if you are in the area and really a good idea for a destination to plan your roadtrip.

Very interesting place in the middle of nowhere. 90% of Warhol's exhibits are original. I recommend visiting in winter because of high traffic in the summer. Toilets are located at the entrance.

works displayed. Good Warhol family history information. Thoroughly delightful experience.

Especially when your desire Is to learn about thé artist's far background (roots). Actual artworks Are mediocre And rather scarce here (yes it's pop-art, no Need for orginals - this Word lacks Meaning in this case). Though a nice collection.
