Probably my favourite sight in the city. The outside is quite striking with great building views, the art is religious themed and can be thought provoking. I liked the views of the city too.
It's well worth the entrance fees. Lots of walking required so be prepared.

It is worth visiting. We were there on a rainy day, so did not manage to enjoy everything. But the area is very well maintained and clean and is very charming.

If you are in Bratislava, you must definitely visit its castle. The area that you see around the castle, as you walk to it, it's very nice and it's something different than the old town. The castle is quite big and located on the top, which makes it a great spot for photos and a view of the city. You can enjoy a walk around it, do some contemplating while your eyes run through the city and go down from the small roads on the rear side, for some mote exploration.
I read that the castle inside hasn't got much to offer, so I can't have an honest opinion, as I trusted the fellow reviewer and didn't visit sas well..

Definitely a must see in Bratislava! The rebuilt castle made an incredible impression on me. It looks fabulous from the outside, the gardens are also beautiful, and the interior of the castle is very elegantly decorated. It's actually a castle, but there is a large museum there that is really worth visiting! You can easily spend 3-4 hours visiting. the tower offers a great panorama of the city. A ticket to the museum costs €12.

A very nice place for a walk. There is a museum on the territory (paid).
I wanted to get into the garden near the castle, but it was closed (it was late, in the evening).
A particularly beautiful view opens onto the old town and the river.
I recommend coming at sunset, when the sun's rays are soft and you get very good photos!)

All I can say is wow! The Bratislava Castle is a stunning historical landmark that offers amazing views of the city and the Danube River. The castle has a long history from all the way back to the 9th century to the present day, and houses a museum that showcases the treasures and artifacts of Bratislava and the entirety of Slovakia. The castle grounds are also beautiful, complete with a garden and a fountain. It is entirely worth visiting if you’re in Bratislava as it’s pretty much the signature landmark, and it’s only about a 15-minute walk from the Old Town to the castle entrance. You can, of course, take a Bolt to the castle if you don’t feel like walking up the hill, but the walk is nice and provides great views of the river and surrounding city. It was not very crowded when we went at midday on a weekday in winter, so perhaps time your visit around then to get great pictures with no one else around! Beautiful place and beautiful city!

I liked the walk up to the castle and the views of the city from the top. I didn't get to go inside because it was closed, but I still spent about 2 hours wandering around and absorbing the beautiful views of the city and the river.

Not your usual castle, but the history of it explains why. The museum was great, lots of exhibitions telling the various parts of Slovak history and the castle’s. The ticket office wasn’t easy to spot, it’s on the right next to the horse statue before you go into the castle building, says tickets above the door. I paid for the Bratislava card online which gave me free entry (along with many places). To go into the castle go to the door straight ahead on the other side of the courtyard (again, not glaringly obvious, a few people were confused) There’s a free cloakroom that is manned. The basement was eerie but fascinating. I chicken out going all the way up the tower, the stairs were fairly steep. The views were amazing though, you can easily see the bordering countries from up there. Getting to the castle is quite hilly, cobbles and steps, I assume going through the back of the site it’s more accessible

Definitely a must see in Bratislava! The castle looks stunning even in the winter from both outside and inside, the gardens are also beautiful, and the interior of the castle is very elegantly decorated in white and gold, and red. A ticket to the museum costs €12 per person and I love the Christmas market outside in the yard, one of the best wines I have tried, I definitively recommend visiting.

Massive castle that you can go and explore. Loads of history and a great view across the city. Definitely on the list for a trip to Bratislava/ Slovakia. The walk up to the castle is steep but once up there it is worth it. The views are amazing, you can see Austria in the distance and if you go at sunset you get the sun setting over the Danube. It is also free to walk the castle grounds and see the views

A big castle with great view and beautiful gardens. It takes a little effort to go up from the old center, but it is a nice walk. The architecture is not something to hold your breath for, but it is well maintained.

Beautiful building & beautiful views. We went at the end of August. We didn't do any of the options that required money and just walked outside. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town. I imagine the helicopter is not a regular occurrence and we just stumbled upon it at the right time.

Nice castle, good views from the crown tower. Navigation thoughout the museum is quite confusing and could be improved but has a ni e mix of world history, local and specific to the castle. I would say its well worth going if you are visiting the city.

Used a Bratislava card for tickets, to enter.
Breathtaking castle, beautiful interior, and views of the area.
A lot of historic information available in different languages.
So much to look at and we'll persevered.
You can immerse yourself in the history here.
Would highly recommend a visit.
There is a shop and cafe on site (plus toilets).
Staff are kind and knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend walking up the steps to look out the tower too, you cna get a 360 of Bratislava.

I really love this castle; it's so pretty, even when you're far away. Just a little climb from the bus station, and you'll be there. The view from up there and the castle itself are both incredibly beautiful. If you're into stunning sights and don't mind a short uphill walk, you'll be amazed by this charming castle and the fantastic view.

Not the traditional castle looking, it’s rectangular building with towers at each corner. It’s historical and nice looking you can overlook Danube river. We enjoyed our visit. 2-3 hours requires to see entire building and surroundings.

The most iconic place in my opinion in Bratislava. Amazing views and a beautiful castle. You will find also a park and a restaurant there. I definitely recommend visiting this place

A must see when in Bratislava. We didn't pay to go in but had lovely views over the city from the top and looking around the gardens for free. Would recommend a visit.

The castle and gardens are beautiful, and views impressive! A must see during a trip in Bratislava. We didn’t visit the inside, so I can’t advise on whether it’s worth it or not, but the outside is absolutely stunning.

Iconic city landmark. The castle's commanding presence offers panoramic views of the Danube River and the city below. Explore the museum inside for a journey through Slovak history.
