Beautiful castle in the gorgeous town of Banska Bystrica! Pedestrianised centre with plenty of restaurant and bar options. Beautiful town square with preserved churches, original facades and clock tower. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. We ate a delicious meal in the restaurant under the castle. Excellent service and the food was delicious!

The new experiential exhibition on the copper mining history is great (Slovak only).

Nice small castle museum. Takes 30-40 min to go through 3 levels.

Very nice place with a beautiful church and few remnants of a historical castle. It's good to enjoy the local atmosphere and just walk around.

Veľmi príjemný, vkusný a obľúbený podnik ako Bystrická klubovňa sa tak často nevidí. Kuchyňa super, plno v podniku aj na terase doslova problém sadnúť si bez rezervácie. Obsluha ochotná, plne vyťažená. Celková spokojnosť, ak ste spoločensky založený v meste Banská Bystrica odporúčam vyskúšať.

My Bystričania túto stavbu voláme Barbakan. Na poschodí sa aktuálne nachádza THURZO – FUGGER zážitková expozícia, ktorú odporúčam. Tiež je na priečelí menší Banícky orloj. Jedna z dominánt mesta, ktorú sa oplatí vidieť a navštíviť. Na prízemí prevádzka s dobrým jedlom aj pivom.
