Sport 2000 SKI-TI, Donovaly

We got a private ski instructor, Piotr, for our two small kids ages 3.5 and 4.5 (i think 55 euros per day for 2 hours) for essentially the price of a ski instructor and entrance to the "fun" park area down the road. That fun park was a nightmare and our ski trip was almost ruined because of their unprofessionalism but here, Piotr was AMAZING! Not sure if he spoke either Polish or English (like my kids), but it didn't seem to matter if that is the case as he somehow was able to teach them how to ski down the mountain and they LOVED going skiing with him. We were so happy with the instructor and recommend him to anyone with little kids.

The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. Ivan is a very nice guy.

I would recommend this shop to everyone . Anyone who ever visited Slovakia would know that customer service is somewhat desired in a lot of places.
We have visited Donovaly for 3 days and on the first day I almost gave up and wanted to go home. We were recommended a Patty ski school by our hotel . Biggest mistake ever !! They were the rudest people I have ever met . I booked their skiing lesson online and was told their, when we arrived the system didn't charge me enough and I need to pay extra €21 when i questioned it they were blaming me saying is not their fault that online system didn't charge me enough Ns I need to pay it . Disgusting behaviour from all the staff . They only care about money . Customer service is non existent. I wanted to cancel the lessons which I was told I can't . So went to hire equipment . Then to enter their ski school you have to pay €8 per hour per child bloody joke !!! . And on top of that their so to say hour lesson is in fact 50 minutes !!! I said to instructor they have another 10 min it hasn't been an hour and he just casually said is actually 50 min !!! At this point I was seething. Next day we visited sport 2000 and the people working there could not do enough for you,they were so helpful and so friendly, we booked 2 hours skiing lesson for my children with Peter . Honestly because of this guy I have 2 children 6 and 9 year old who never stood on the skis before that can now ski confidently going on sit down cable cart and not being afraid going down a steep hill. I am so proud of them and so grateful to Sport 2000 . They have restored my faith in humanity again and I could not recommend these guys highly enough to everyone . This holiday for us was a make or break as our children have never skied before and we didn't know how they get on with it.

if we didn't come across this company my kids would never ski again as the first encounter with Patty school was horrendous and would put off anyone from skiing ever again!!!!. They are a rip off money grubbers !!!
Only because Sport 2000 staff and their instructors we now have children who absolutely love skiing so much so that my 9 year old booked to go for the evening skiing . I am gobsmacked how quickly my kids learned to ski and that is all thanks to sport 2000.
I don't normally write reviews ,but honestly I felt compelled to do so after what happened to us .
We already booked to return next year and sport 2000 will be the only ski hire shop we will be visiting.

We rented snowboards and ski jackets/trousers for a very reasonable price. This was the only place we found in the area where we could rent ski clothes. People in the shop were helpful and spoke English. I was very grateful as I left some cash in the jacket pocket when I left it at the end of the day, when I phoned they checked and held it back for me to collect the next day.

Super kind and helpful stuff! They want to solve your problem if there is any. We were in Donovaly for two days but lived in a village 20kms away. We could not carry the equipment we hired with us so they worked it out in a cooperation with a hotel. At the end we left the gear at a hotel and we picked it up next morning. Five stars!

Fast and straightforward service, with a reasonable price. They had ski-pants for rent as well.
