A bus ride away from Bratislava Old Town and well worth doing on a clear day. Fantastic views. We could even see the mountains in Austria.
This is doable in a morning and you can still be back in the old town for the afternoon.
I would recommend taking binoculars for the views, also good for birdwatching. The woodland area next to the castle has a path to walk along which was also nice to visit.

really worth making it out here. the visibility was not crazy good but still get to see the river convergence and residential houses on the other side. amazing to be at the very point of so much history. also loved the woody public structures, such a sleek modern vibe that contrasts the history-laden site

We visited on a sunny but cold day of December with clear skies and we enjoyed it so much!
The views are breathtaking...same as the history of the castle.
The entrance ticket costs only 4€/person and it's definitely worth it!!!!
I highly recommend it for all the above plus it's very close to get from Bratislava centre!

A must see if ever in Bratislava!
We hiked down from Devinska Kobyla missile base but you can get a bus from downtown Bratislava for 0,97€ one way.
When we visited entry was 4€ rising to 8€ in peak months.
Well worth the money. An interesting castle to visit and spectacular views all around!
The extended route didn't add much to be honest other than a bigger loop but not much else to see other than the basic route.
Toilets and water fountains in the castle (water fountain not working when we visited although).

The ruins here were amazing to walk around. My wife and I were here in mid November and the wind was intense. Enough so that I really needed to keep a grip on my phone for some photos. The walk up to the castle wasn't bad and it's definitely worth a visit.

This castle has a history dating back to the Roman period. There is currently not much aside from the structure but the view is indeed worth the price of admission. The castle commands a precious view of the river, town, and surrounding areas and it is indeed peaceful to watch.

It is very easy to reach there by bus from Bratislava. And the entrance ticket was just 4€. Totally worth the visit. You get some incredible views from the top. Tip: Sunset views are totally amazing!!!

If you have more than 24 hours in Bratislava, Devin castle is a must visit. Was easy to get here via bus (catch the 29 from under the ufo bridge, takes about 20 mins). The views are stunning, there’s plenty to see here for a couple of hours. It wasn’t very busy either, which was nice. Because we arrived from Vienna via boat we got to see the castle from the river also, which was extra special. There are a few bars just outside, so we’re able to have a beer before the trip back.

Wonderful old castle ruins situated in a perfect position over the Danube. Superb views and only 8 eur entry. Take the 29 bus and it's nice and easy but a good 15min walk from the bus stop and lots of steps up with in grounds.

I was surprised at how historically interesting this location was. It's definitely not just a pile of stones. The pathways and information plaques are top notch, and the view on the Morava and Danube colliding is spectacular. There are also numerous walk and bycicle routes nearby

Worth visiting as it is easy accessible via bus or even an Uber that is like 10-15€. No need to purchase a ticket in advance. The price per ticket in the winter is like 4€ but during summer times it gets double. The tickets you can purchase using card but for the souvenirs you need cash.

8 euros and 75 meters up. The climb is neither very steep nor hard. Great view of the Danube and the Morava. The museum is included in the price; we decided to skip them, but you have to buy tickets to enjoy the view.

History of this place goes back to the Roman period. We were there during winter holidays and luckily the day was sunny and bright. Though there isn’t much left of the castle but the panaromic vista over Danube and Morova river connecting is worth every penny

Nice, but not for people who are affraid of height. One part of ruins is ok for them.
Souvenir shop is best at entrance gate. Prices ok.

Lovely castle and grounds. Stunning panoramic views of the Danube. Plenty of walking and steps.
Easy to get to from Bratislava. Catch the 29 bus from most snp. The stop is just under the bridge next to the road.

Worth going to this old caste, you can take a bus for 1eur from Bratislava center, which runs each 15min.
If the weather is nice it is recomended to hike in the nearby forest, you will get very nice views of the castle and aurroundings. No special hiking equipment is needed.

Even though not much of the original castle is left, these ruins are absolutely worth a visit. Easily reachable by car or by public transport from Bratislava, this location offers a small museum, beautiful ruins and stunning views. The 'hike' up the mountain is also not as bad as it seems when standing at the parking lot. Another plus, especially in summer, is the drinking fountain installed on the central square of the castle!

The castle is incredibly beautiful, has many buildings and very good viewing platforms. The entrance cost only 4 euros.
The only pity is that the exhibition on the top of the castle was closed.

Just beautiful!!! Serene experience. We were on a short visit to Bratislava and we are glad to have explored this place. Taking the early morning bus to this place, the journey itself began beautifully and the place was just beyond beautiful. Nature at its best. The views of the villages, fields, river (where you can see border with Austria), forests, and the castle. It was amazing. The fresh air, clean water, greens everywhere.. filled my heart and soul with peace. Definitely a must visit place if you are planning to go to Bratislava. The premise has washroom facility, drinking water and lots of benches to rest. It's kids friendly too. Overall a great experience being here.
