Old Town Hall Reviews

The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is a fascinating historical landmark that offers a glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage. The building's architecture is stunning, with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements all coming together in a harmonious blend. The highlight of the Old Town Hall, however, is the breathtaking view from the top of the tower. Climbing up to the top is a bit of a climb, but the panoramic views of Bratislava from the tower are well worth the effort. The view offers a unique perspective of the city's skyline and the Danube River. Overall, the Old Town Hall is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Bratislava, especially those who want to take in the city's stunning views.

Massive museum that provides a detailed account of the building and city's history. You can also climb the tower to get good views of the Old Town and surrounding area.

This tower is a part of the Old Town Hall sitting in the middle of the old Bratislava City. Near by the Main square (In Slovak Hlavné námestie). The Tower is a part of the tour of the old town hall - the historical building. Actually it is a tour of the City Museum and the City museum is sitting there in the historical building of the old town hall. It is interesting Building because from the inside with interieriors and decorations is looks more like a castle. Also the inside large centre square with architecture language look more like a castle and with the Tower made even stronger that impression. Indoor many rooms are in a good condition and remain centuries the same with original fresco painting. To get in on the Tower visitor needs purchase a ticket to the City Museum which is cheap and well worth to see large museum with rich Exhibition with a unique artificacts and refreshing a history about the Bratislava city and that Museum has interesting Exhibitions which takes about an hour half and then the Tower visit it takes about half hour get up and enjoy views from the Tower on the St. Matus Cathedral and the Tower of the Cathedral, a view on the Bratislava Castle and a view on the old city of Bratislava around the Old Town Hall. In respect of the Tower itself offer a nice small tour of three floors with Art Tower pictures and surprisely with furniture on the first floor and with bells on the second floor. To get on the Tower'' outdoor view from the third floor in winter season which has remaining open the entry for the view just the door is closed and that a visitor needs to find the door on the third floor and open the door get outdoor and then can walk in circle outside around the tower on the walk side and enjoy really nice views from the tower. I do consider quiet enjoyable the whole trip which is not demanding on time or walking. It is located in close location to the city centre as well. The best way get here is with a tram number four which is operate through the old city centre and the tram stop is call 'Centrum' and from there only two minutes walking get at the Old Town Hall. You can also take a tram number one which takes you to the tram stop call Námestie Ludovita Štúra. Then you can walk to the St. Matúš Cathedral and take a short walk from there less than fifth minutes get to the Main Square where is sitting the Old town hall with the tower. You should also take notice all photographs are in focus on the Tower and photos showing the place around the tower from the views of the Tower of the Old Town Hall of city of Bratislava which is the capital city of Slovakia.

Beautiful facade with a sign and note of the flood and Napoleon bullet. I hope it will be maintained and decorated well!!! Amazing architecture that deserves to look stunning for ages!

Totally worth the €5 entrance fee. Not only do you get a view (360 degree on the outdoor balcony) of the old city, you also get to view two museums (city history, torture). The city history museum is huge...I thought it would be a couple rooms and simple exhibits but it just kept going on and on. Definitely give yourself some time for this.

The view from the top of the tower is stunning and definitely worth the 3 euro price tag for students. Best views at sunset!

This is one of the landmarks and a must in Bratislava. During Christmas period the square and surroundings has a Christmas Fair and it is a wonderful time for typical food, a hot beverage and enjoy a pretty good environment.
From the top, it is also possible to have nice view of the square and the city.
Recommended to be there.

Ald Town Hall keeps many historical facts, artifacts and stories about Bratislava or Prassens. Many of visitors are not well informed about interesting history of this town, so I recommend to visit this interesting museum and finde more of it.

I love this place! I was expecting a small, simple museum, but is anything but that. The museum covers history of both the building and of the city, and is really well put together.

Great building to visit and explore with beautiful architecture and exhibitions within. Close to the primates palace and main square so very easy to do as part of a day looking round. Deserves to be savoured though.
