Sladovňa - House Of Beer

Went there mid afternoon. It was pretty much empty at around 3 p.m. I tried the beer flight. These were generous servings of three different beers. The pretzels were also a good accompaniment to the beer which was nice and cold. The bartender spoke English and was friendly to explain the differences between each beer. There is also outdoor seating in the biergarten (I am sure it is called something else in Slovak). I didn't get any other food besides the pretzel I cannot speak to that. I can only say that the beer is great!!!!!

A quite place at an alley in the centre of bratislava. We ordered the pork knuckle which wa very tasty but huge! It is definitely a plate to be shared with another person. A long list of interesting beers are available for those like beer.

Slovak traditional dish, Haluški, very very tasty and filling dish, well made, definitely a location where I recommend trying this dish 👍🏻
Kofola, something like Coca Cola, but with a different aroma, was okay
The steak could have been much better, but the potatoes were fantastic
The only thing I didn't like was that they charge for their service in the restaurant, we left the waiter a tip and when he brought us the bill we were disappointed because there was a service charge...

Phenomenal food, atmosphere, and reminiscent of an old ale house. Dingy and warm, welcoming and historic.

A really unique experience on my visit to Bratislava. So glad that this was our beer stop on the way back from the castle.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Bratislava. Amazing place, great food and smiley service. We have eaten 7 different dishes and each one was amazing.
On top they have 15 various types of draft beer, which is not easy to find.
If your in town, I definitely recommend Sladovna 👍🫶🔝🏆

A beer lover's dream! Get the flight of beer to sample the most here, the grapefruit beer was unreal. We also shared the platter for 2 between 3, which was plenty. The sausage and bryndzové halušky was especially good. Loved the courtyard, nice atmosphere.

Beer was good, atmosphere was friendly and rustic. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice late-night beer

Great place and value of money!
The food was so delicious and the daily menu includes beef soup with vegetables & pork schnitzel with potato salad. The menu costs 8.90 EUR.
The service was excellent and the staff speaks good English! ☀

Brisket was perfect. Schinitzel was ok. The potato salad they serve with it was extremely cold, and lacking taste. But roasted rosemary potatos are highly recommended. They go very good with beer. Their homemade Beers were amazing. Try the lighter ones if you are not used to some bitterness in your beer. Waiters speak English though it can be a little bit hard to catch their attention. Surely recommend this place if you are in Bratislava

Food was fantastic... Ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed everything that was ordered. The Pork Belly Burnt Ends were excellent. There was also a good selection of beers.

After enjoying the House of Beer a few years ago, we were glad to be able to revisit. Once again, the service was very friendly and efficient, and the beer selection excellent. I was glad to be able to get a flight to sample several, and we'll certainly return when we get back to Bratislava.

A large selection of beers brewed here and well suited meals to accompany them. Large tables to fit a big group of friends. We tried grilled marrow bones as starter (not in the menu published online) and it was a positive, although strange experience, use salt, if you are not sure. Three kind of (beef) steaks and tasty grilled vegetables. We had a nice evening on Wednesday in January 2020, before and during holidays make reservation a day or more in advance.

It’s tucked away a bit, but it’s worth it. Great service, good food and amazing beers.

Plenty of beers to choose from. The beer tasting plate is a nice touch. Regular food and snacks are all tasty. Pretty fast service even when it's busy. The staff are friendly. And you don't have people walking around you all the time like in other restaurants in the city centre. Definitely worth a visit.

Good veal Wiener schnitzel. Home made pretzel, amazing beer! Nice place!

Food is absolutely delicious and they have a good number of beer on tap. The owner is extremely friendly. Definitely recommend! I loved the bbq ribs.
