The Church of the Holy Savior is a must visit when you are in Bratislava. In the city center near the fountain and the old square, close to the city museum. Fantastic iconostasis and icons with deep biblical motifs. It was a holiday and there were many pilgrims who were praying and sitting in the cathedral. Also, I am delighted with the place for confession, ie. the confessional, which is made of beautiful wood, carved and carries the wonderful spirit of the past.

Amazing! The Jesuit Church (Kostol jezuitov) is a Roman Catholic church in the Slovakian capital Bratislava. It is located in the old town, at Franziskanerplatz No. 4, directly opposite the Old Town Hall on the corner of the main square. It is dedicated to the Most Holy Savior, which is why it is also called the Church of the Redeemer or the Church of Salvator (Kostol Najsvätejšieho Spasiteľa). The Church is definitely worth to visit, especially during Christmas time!

The Holy Saviour Church (Slovak: Kostol Najsvätejšieho Spasiteľa, Jezuitský kostol) also called the Jesuit Church, is an originally protestant church from the 17th century on the Franciscan Square in the Old Town of Bratislava, Slovakia.[1] Today, the church belongs to the Society of Jesus, known as the Jesuit Order.
The church was built from 1636 to 1638 as a place of worship for the protestants as there was a growing number of protestants of German ethnicity in the city. By the King's decree the church could not resemble a Roman-Catholic house of worship in any way; so it was built without a spire, presbytery and lacking entrance from the main street.

if you've been in Europe for more than three or four days, churches and cathedrals can start to get old. But this is a beautiful one. I have not a modicum of religion, but I do love these amazing structures. Come see it at night to enjoy the lights.
