Riyadh Rail Station

It's a railway station for traveling to Dammam.
Very neat and clean at an affordable price. The staff is very helpful. There is one departure gate and one arrival gate. The railway station looks like an old model. needs to improve the construction like sealing,gate,the platform also. A huge parking area is one of the key points in the railway station. Healthy seating capacity also there.
There are few cafeterias there for 24 × 7. And one kiosk for baggage drop and parcel shipments. We can travel by free hand. Anyway, it's very good and I suggest everyone to travel with Riyadh east railway station.

Excellent service starting from the electronic booking system and the digital application. Comfortable waiting area with free mobile charging units with safety locks. Rihab lounge is accessible ( for free) for business and first class tickets holders, including snacks and beverages. Trains are new and identical to the Ones of Spanish public transportation.

A very simple way of booking train tickets through the SAR website. Clean and modern platform. The interior looks great. The train is running at the right time.

If you're buying business class ticket like me don't forget to enjoy complementary snacks, drinks and dates.

The only improvement required is on board wifi and universal power socket required on the train for charging electrical gadgets.

Super duper impressed with the facility. Neat Clean. Easy check in process. Friendly staff..they have wheel chair facility for senior citizens..even a cart facility to reach to the end of train.
Parking facility is big enough as well..
This is a true example of what kingdom of Saudi Arabia is already becoming and aspiring to become in years to come in the hospitality sector

Excellent train station all employees are very kind helpful, clean station , I love travelling to East region by super comfort and clean trains. BUT I wish when I choose business class means calm quite no disturbing by children due to my age - thank you for understanding.

After renovating it became great place to enjoy your trip. Coffee, washroom, taxi and enough parking lots.

The business waiting lounge is clean, spacious and nice. There are snacks, water and a coffee machine that you can help yourself to. The train is clean and the seats are comfortable. The employees are very nice, professional and helpful.

Safe and well maintained. Only problem is entry road is confusing to cab drivers

In the forties of the last century AD, the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had initiated the first plans to achieve economic growth and improve the welfare of its citizens.

At that time, the extraction of oil had begun. With it, the vital need to establish a port on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, and the creation of a safe, fast, sustainable and low-cost means of transportation was recognized.

King Abdulaziz Al Saud, "The Founder" - may Allah have mercy on his soul, agreed upon the idea to build a commercial port to harbor the huge ships that brought in oil drilling equipment, and later the oil tankers . And approved the start the railway project to connect the new port. Thus the railway sector was born, with which work began in October 1947 AD. A few years later in October 1951 AD, King Abdul Aziz," may Allah bless him" - inaugurated the first railway line between Riyadh and Dammam.

With the goals of building an integrated transportation system, that provides the necessary efficiencies and legislations that enable the railway sector to maximize its potential in transforming the Kingdom into a logistical hub. A resolution of the Council of Ministers has been issued on 2/16/2021, assigning Saudi Railways Company (SAR) to take over the operations and management of the network from the Saudi Railway Organization, starting April 1, 2021.

Established in 2006, SAR is the owner and operator of the North Train Railway Network, and now, the new enabler of Railway industry, and carries on the vision to build a sustainable passenger and cargo transport. It has been a story of success for the railway industry. Taking into consideration the networks that have been established in the past decade, and the enormity of these projects which are amongst the largest infrastructure developments in the Kingdom.
