A must place visit place in Al baha. Little drive from centre but worth for it. Good historic place. No nearby shops try to keep food and water as the tour will take some hours to cover whole village. More maintenance required inside houses. Gives a good picture of culture and the importance of Al baha in the past. Visit in day time and gives a good view at the time of sunset.

NOTE: No tickets required

The entrance is free. You get to visit a small museum, telling the story of the village and then walk up the hill to the village and enjoy the views and authenticity.

The location itself is great. What's equally important is the drive from Albaha to this spot.

Totally worth it.

One of the most beautiful and mesmerising visits of my life to any historic place. For this place, you need a full-day trip. Museum's entry is free of cost but the opening time is 10 am. Castle is open to all. The best time to visit this place is during the summer season. Naturally-grown forests and waterfalls are awesome. Bananas 🍌 trees and fresh flowing water are just awesome.
Must try tea 🍵 in the middle of this forest.

Very nice place to visit, great tourist attraction, available parking, be ready for rain or any windy weather. It’s much hot compared to Al Baha at the top. Keep going up to the highest point the view is spectacular. Don’t forget to go through the visitor center to learn a lot about the history of the village and the culture

Its an ancient construction with a group of connected buildings marbles forming a mountain. There is stairs and passageways. Area is located at the top of a mountain. Free entry and enough parking space available. Climate is mostly cold but not cloudy when i visited there. There is a valley with farming area and a small lake which is also attractive.

Thee Ain is a must visit place in KSA. It is something of a mystery to see a marvelous construction in such a remote area. The history of this place roots back to 8th century. The detailed works they have done in this place with no tools other than the old chisel is something to leave us awestruck.

The entire village is made up to stones and marbles which is neatly cut and are kept together with a mixture of mud which makes it very sturdy. The roofs and stairs are made by laying woods which is then covered with jute-weaved cloth and then covered with a layer of mud mixture. Many of the houses comprises 2 to 4 levels which is very spacious.

It is a shame to see that this beautiful heritage site is not being preserved and exhibited to its fullest grandeur.

If you are visiting KSA I would really recommend visiting this historic site.

A walk back into history.
A good place to understand the housing structure of the old times.
Good enjoyment for the kids to explore the different levels of the building.
A beautiful small farm at the back where you can have tea, fresh bananas etc.

Its constructed in the middle of the mountains with some greenery around. before climbing up, go around the places at the ground level as you'll find the beautiful greenery and water gushing out of a small spring.

This was an excellent place to explore as a family. We spent around an hour looking through the buildings. There were some bats living inside one of the hoyses that surprised us but we enjoyed seeing them as well. There is a new park area at the bottom of the site with public toilets and play areas.

Well kept secret of Saudi Arabia. Can spend a day exploring Al-Baha and Thee-Ain village. But expected better tourist support like a board that could tell us more about its history, about architecture or have a local guide etc. But, in any way, I liked my visit.
