Salbukh Dam

Nice and calm place to visit where you can admire the ancient mud houses. The dam may be dry at the moment, but the beauty of the surroundings remains unchanged. For the best experience, plan your visit after a heavy rainfall.

The best hiking I have done ✅ I love the place because it is very clean and safe for families. The rock mountain was very Challenging also very promising view. Threes are beautiful and their leaves are green. Rocks are every where in the hike very good for explore hikers and solo hikers. Just bring water and coffee and you are set to go along with your hiking gears. I prefer coming here in the early morning.

Excellent place to do BBQ (between 7am and sunset)

It's a wonderful place to spend a time with family and friends. The scenic beauty at this place is amazing specially when water is there and at the time of sunset. But unfortunately, most of times you don't see any water in the dam as water only fills the dam during heavy rains. There is a lot of open ground available at the site where you can do the barbecue, setup your camp or sitting area. Do not forget to take the drinks and eating items along as you may not find anything at the site.

A surprise near Riyadh... never thought that we have a second Place with water this close to Riyadh after NAMAR valley.... worth visiting but no facilities around...

Be very careful if you are visiting with Kids****
there were no life guards and no safety fences. We were on our own during our visit.... I saw two incidents during my two hour Stay at Dam where two kids fell in the water, although recused asap but this could have been avoided with proper precautions and some arrangements from Administration.

This Dam is situated 65 to 75 km from Riyadh. Small Dam with no water. In rainy season the Dam receive the water from catchment area. Is a good place for recreation and leisure time. Some greenery around the Dam. Some barbecue pits are also present. Good for long drive and enjoyment with family and friends. From Riyadh we can go by two routes one is Dariyah and the other one is Madina Road.

Good picnic point, best for family and friends, peace full environment, but there is no shop or cafeteria, ones must Carry own drinks or meals.

سد صلبوخ شمال الرياض 30 كيلو تقريباً .. جميل جداً وقت الأمطار والسد مليان والشعيب ماشي .. المكان فيه جلسات حلوة وكله أشجار طلح كبيرة .. فيه عمال نظافة وحاويات .. عيبه عدم وجود دورات مياه .. لكن قريب منه مسجد مفتوحة دورات المياه فيه .. منظر الجبال جميل تصلح للتسلق .. متنفس رائع لأهل الرياض

سد جميل و شعيب جميل جدا فيه اشجار كبيره وجميله شعيب صلبوخ في حمايه سيارات حمايه البيئه ومتابعه اي احد يحتطب الاشجار مكان هادي واسع واشجار كثيفه والقرى القريبه من الشعيب يحافظون عليه اشكر كل من ساهم في الحفاظ على البيئه و دع المكان كما كان

تمت زيارة السد يوم السبت ٧يناير ٢٠٢٣ بعد امطار غزيرة وكان السد ولله الحمد ممتلئ وفايض ويصب كشلال ..

المكان سهل للوصول له على جميع السيارات سوان الصغيره او الكبيره .. مافيه اي وعوره طريق اسفلت ...

لاكن تكفون احرصو على نظافة المكان .. لاتتركون مخلفاتكم وراكم .. احرصو على نظافة المكان ..

اهل الديره (( صلبوخ )) يتوذون من بعض الكشاته يترك مخلفاته وراه ويسبب اذى لاهل الديره ..
