The outside has a very interesting architecture, especially at night. It's fronted by a family/kids friendly open space.
The library per-se is a great and modern place for focusing on work or studying

The best place in my opinion for extended hours of work or study:

• Pros: very quiet, spacious, food and coffee are available, good and free internet connection, prayer places, working hours are finally extended!

• Cons: gets crowded during exam seasons, very difficult to find parking lots from 11am to 6pm

Amazing place to visit in the months near to winter.. its open ground area beside king fahad national library u can also visit the library if u have online account inside..

And best of all is good sitting for kids playing around, small different food stall which serve variety of food stuffs..

Kids enjoy here a lot with different car rides, depending on the sizes the charges vary for example: small cars charge is 15sr for 15 minutes big car for 30sr for 15 minutes..

Good weather when visited in November December..

There are also ice-cream cars, women’s selling stuff like toys etc..

Also now there is an area in between work is going on..for event starting from 30 November till 16 December for Riyadh art program.

Event : 93rd Saudi National

One of the highlights of the event was the art exhibition, which featured the work of several Saudi artists. The exhibition included a variety of different mediums, including painting, and photography. The artwork was all very impressive, and it was a great opportunity to see the work of some of Saudi Arabia's most talented artists.

Incredible nice Library with an awesome design. There is a vibrant and an interesting history to it… KFNL was established in 1983 in response to an initiative made by the people of Riyadh when King Fahd ascended the throne. The project was announced in 1983 and the implementation started in 1986. Now to this day, the library is known for its sustainability and up-to-date energy concepts.

wonderful library, very quiet despite how spacious it is so great place for studying, with many easily accessible computers. not sure if tourists are allowed in, as it seemed like it's only open for nationals and PR holders, but i highly recommend visiting at least once.

This was an amazing place and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to visit. I’ll definitely be back. Tourists and those on business visas and iqamas are all welcome. You just have to make an account, which you can do at the entrance. The staff were so kind and helpful. It’s the perfect quiet place to study, with many tables. Each one has an individual light and plugs, and the library has WiFi. They have many different types of books in multiple languages. They even have a floor just for women. And they have neat displays of beautiful art! You need to come visit! I loved it.

Today was my first time at the library and I loved it. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Signing in is easy you need to create a profile on their website then when you get there you just sign in using your login details. There is a coffee place inside the library on the 3rd floor if you want to buy coffee and snacks. There is free water and free Wi-Fi as well. I will be coming here every time for studying!!!
There are some more shops downstairs for coffee and snacks

Library now closes at 10 pm😊

One of the most beautiful places in all of Riyadh. It’s perfect for studying, reading, spending some alone time… etc.

First and foremost, this library is hugeeee mashallah, yet it’s fully equipped. It has designated bathrooms and wudu’ areas at almost every turn. There are many mini cafe stands in the library that sell snacks, coffee and light meals like salads. There are even fridges filled with free water! Staff are present at every main desk and reception, so it’s easy to ask for help if you need it.

The library offers free wifi:
KFNL-GUEST
The password is : lib_6789
You can also find papers at the main desks stating this.

The interior is absolutely breathtaking. It’s very calming and comfortable. You get lots of natural lighting as well. There are many trees and plants all over.

What’s great about this place is the cleanliness. There are specialized workers who rotate around the place every now and then cleaning the tables and emptying out the trash cans. Every time I visit the library it’s always sparkling clean mashallah, they take this very seriously.

There are specified male and female areas. Among the female areas is an enclosed room with study tables and computers. There is a praying area as well and it’s very private and comfortable. Outer, open areas for females are also available.

Although the desk specify whether they are designated for males or females, I’m pretty certain you can sit wherever you like and it shouldn’t be a problem.

There are private rooms in the library too but I’m not really sure how they work as I haven’t tried them. The outer seating area is more than convenient and it’s never too crowded there, so it’s great. The library is always quiet and everyone who visits is respectful and kept to themselves.

I’ve left my table with my electronic devices and books many times to pray or walk around, and they’ve never been touched or tampered with. I’d say it’s very safe and secure.

One last thing to mention, there are charger outlets built into the tables so you can charge your devices with ease if necessary.

Also: If it’s your first time going to the library, there’s a simple procedure you have to do, and an employee downstairs can help you out with it. All you have to do is make a profile for the library and every time you visit you enter your ID number to sign in and out. It’s very easy and straightforward though, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Thank you to all the kind staff and security🙏🏼 and thank you King Fahad National Library for being my favorite place to study and work in!!

King Fahad National Library, is an amazing resource available to the public. It has an ideal environment for exploration and productivity. They have lots mini cafes around the library, and a lovely park right outside the main entrance. The library administration recently extended the working hours, which is an great step forward. The new timings are from 8am to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday. I look forward to the upcoming developments.

Looks beautiful up close. Very neat and tiny inside. Very spacious. But most books are in Arabic. There should be a wider variety of books.
Very peaceful and quiet place to study

The King Fahd National Library (KFN), is the biggest puplic library in whole region, and the legal deposit and copyright library for Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1983 in response to an initiative made by the people of Riyadh when the late King Fahd (MARHS) ascended the throne. The project was announced in 1983 and the implementation started in 1986. Now to this day, the library is known for its sustainability and up-to-date energy concepts. Its also destination for families to and kuds to soend wonderful evening in its gardens. It also has a good pedestrian walkway, and many international events and conferences are held in its buildings

The place to go to when you want to have a really good peace of mind. I mean the vibes! And you can request a specific title to be added to the library- given that you need to provide a logical justification as to how useful it is.
