Veliki Cafe Restaurant

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The breakfast was delicious, the service was top-notch, and we enjoyed a delightful conversation with the staff who even recommended some fantastic places to visit in Serbia.

Don't miss out on trying the galuška dessert; it was absolutely amazing!

I have been there many a times on every single visit to this beautiful Serbian city - Novi Sad.

Veliki Cafe has a nice ambience, plenty of outdoor seatings to have a meal and enjoy the weather.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The waiter was amazingly friendly and professional at the same time. Even gave us a good couple of laughs. The food - delicious. We had Hungarian stew and pork ribs. The pumpkin tart was tasty, and not too sweet.

My family and I had a lovely dinner at Veliki Cafe Restaurant. We are from Toronto Canada and it was our final night in Serbia and this was the best dinner we had in Novi Sad. So happy we picked this place to Dine at for our final dinner. The service was exceptional and the servers spoke great English and very polite and welcoming. We ordered two salads to start which were excellent and nice presentation and all housemate dressings. They brought us a basket of homemade bread which was really nice and had mix of white and brown bread which was really nice. The entrees came and nicely presented on the plates and shoes hot. I ordered the stuffed vegetarian Zuchinni with couscous inside topped with cheese. It was great one of my favorite meals so far in Serbia. It's hard to find vegetarian options and the menu here had lots. My Mom and brother got grilled chicken dinner and they really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back next time I visit Novi Sad.

delicious food, friendly staff, good atmosphere

Rarely do I say this, but this has to be one of the best food places I've visited in the world. Had Zucchinis with chicken and was blown away. The waiter was also amazing. Really cute place as well. I don't go to the same place twice but will visit again!

What a shocking experience. The quality of food offered by Veliki is truly exceptional and phenomenal. As you can see in the photographs, I ordered a plate with soft meat, shredded cheese with raisins sprinkled over zucchini, all complimented by a mild fruity sauce. The prices are a little higher than usual, however it is expected and worth it. The customer service was excellent and the location is central.

It is quite nice place to have some delicious food. Yes, it is not the fastest service, but if you want good food you have to wait to be prepared. It is cozy inside, everything we ate was very good. Little bit difficult to park if you are with car but it is just few minutes walking from the main pedestrian street.

Very delicious food. The place was stylish and cosy. Music is well chosen to add athmosphere to the restaurant. The waiter was very polite!

Great restaurant with good service. The staff was very attentive to our child and offered vegetable sticks for her.

Very nice food, portions a bit bigger than necessary as always in Serbia 😄 we ate the fried goat cheese salad, "hotobody" (?) and some sides (beetroot-carrot-etc. salad, cucumber salad, and rosti). Everything was excellent. Staff friendly and professional.

By far, the best meal we had in Serbia. The meals are incredible tasty, the portions are huge and the service incredible. Would go there again for sure!

Everytime I visit Cafe Veliki I am blown away. So hard to make your choice as everything on the menu is so good…. If you come to Novi Sad plan several nights, otherwise you will regret not being able to try at least 3 or 4 dishes 😀. I was so in love this time I totally forgot to make pictures of the main dishes 😂

I love this place . Very nice place near city center where you can have launch, just the desert or just the drinks with friends and family . It is a large and pleasant space , so a lot of people can be inside at the same time . They have four tables with four seats each outside .
Moderate selection of fine meals and deserts is available (it's about quality , not quantity ) . Be hungry when you arrive because the portions are large . Everything I tried was excellent and all the waiters were friendly and pleasant .

The place and ambiance is nice. waiters were very friendly. I ate pasta and it was delicious. You must try their wines! 🍷

Places usually has one or two nice meals and rest is average... here.. everything is perfect. Specialy I want to tell you that waiters are real profesionals and act friendly at the same time.

If you want some high quality food and very pleasant atmosphere, Veliki is the right choice.
