Albota, Trout Farm

Very good place to spend with kids. The food is great ! This is local business and they close the whole circle : they raise animals, they cultive vegetables, they made bread and other specific products like: jam , elderflower juice…
We came here since 2016 and we saw the evolution year by year.
They extended and set up the outside terase. Now, they can host at table , more than 500 persons, I think…which is great ! Good jobe done ! Congratulations!

Only an overnight stay as we travelled the region but everything was great. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Ate dinner and grilled trout was delicious. Included breakfast was also great. Good variety and tasty. Excellent service. Will return. Thank you for the hospitality.

If trout is your thing, look no further:) you can also fish your own but you only get it to go. Location is great if you want to stop while descending from the Transfăgărășan, there's even a nice children's area. Did not try the rooms, I was on route to Brașov.

Great place to hang out.
Close to Transfagarasan road, close to Fagaras city and between Sibiu and Brasov.
We only visited the restaurant, always many customers but the service is very fast and the staff is very helpful. Prices are normal for Romania. All the facilities are great and very modern.

An amazing location ,with a superb view of the mountain ! Definitely worth visiting and recommend to other to go and visit this place. Food was amazing as well on reasonable prices.

Fantastic fresh fish. The food in the restaurant was delicious. There's lots to do around the place, too - 2 playgrounds for the little ones, you can fish your own fish and enjoy the freen surroundings.

Free parking, clean facilities, friendly staff. You can explore the property , relax or try to catch a trout. You can buy also , they had some disease in the past but now it is available for sale again. There is also a farm shop, products harvested and made with goods from their property.

Very quick service and the food is delicious! The scenery is amazing and there are a couple of activities like fishing or dunking the feet in water which you can profit from. Prices are a bit higher but well worth it!

Great fishing experience for families.
We were 3 people.
20 lei for Fishing equipment per person
Around 25 lei per kg fish we caught. We caught many and released some and ended with 4 Forelles.
2 lei for cleaning the fish.
At the Restaurant they prepared them grilled and we paid 95 lei for all the food and drinks.

Very nice location with many food options. The fish dishes are delicious (definitely recommend the trout speciality). The prices are very ok for what they offer.

The food was delicious 🤤 service could be a bit improved, in the sense of extras, but I can’t say anything wrong about it. An the kids area was also very appreciated, especially the bunnies and the fishing pond

Albota is a well known place in the area, so I will not review the great service, great weighters and good food. I would like to review the camping, which in my opinion is one of the best in the area, with plenty of clean toilets, heated swimming pool and quiet during the nights. I would return anytime there.

Amazing location, close to the mountains. Quick access to Transfagarasan (probably the best road in the workd). Great view, fresh food from the farm and lake. Also, good playground for kids and swimming pool

We went at night for dinner and the staff were very friendly and accommodated us, provided high chair for the baby. The food was amazing, home cooked. For appetizer I got the fried cheese which I cannot find anywhere else so good. We had soups and trout prepared different ways with different sides and all were amazing. We were too stuffed to try deserts, but their selection is great.

Fresh and tasty food. Amazing landscapes. Best experience was the fishing. You can rent everything you need. What you catch is yours to buy at a reasonable price. Staff very nice, they also clean the fish if you request. Highly recommend the premises and the food.

Amazing experience! Staff is friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to go at the trout farm and rent a 🎣 and immediately I was in action fishing on the river bank.

Everything was excellent: room was very large and well equipped. Food was tasteful, plentiful and made from local ingredients (they raise their own animals). Staff was super polite and as a good bye gift we were given a large stash of local products (fish based)... Highly recommended!

Staff is very friendly, food is great. Most of the ingredients are grown at the farm. It is definitely one of the best places in the country when it comes to agritourism.
Important: they do not make reservations for the restaurant, so you might have to wait a bit to get a table, as especially on the weekends, the place is full of tourists (no wonder).
