ZAKI Oriental Restaurant

Always a huge pleasure to return here. The food is most definitely the best of this kind in Cluj. If you feel like having Oriental food or other kinds, I truly recommend the restaurant. The staff is always very polite and kind. If you give it a try you will not be disappointed!

The location is ultracentral, close to musem square, the food is great, and you get a great deal for a great price, I ate a lot for just a few lei. My chices where hummus beiruti, beef ras a four and a khunefa. I was comparing it to other oriental/lebanese restaurants in Bucharest I have been to. I think the prices are half or maybe a third of the prices of a similar restaurants in Bucharest. The waiters are very friendly however they didn't have a few options in the menu. It is closing at 10 in the evening so go before 8.30. I think it is a great deal and good food totally recommend it. I will return!

We’ve had a very nice dinner here! Food is tasty, atmosphere is very family friendly(while also being good for just couples). The serving was impeccable and we will definitely return here to try out other things as well as there are so many dishes to choose from.

Went here for lunch, as we were 3 people, we decided to get the Warm Plate and a couple side dishes: Rice with Saffron, Lebanese Rice and the Beiruti Hummus. Everything was really delicious, the spices were to our taste.

Also got a bottle of water, Orange Fresh, Pomegranate Fresh and an Arabic coffee brewed on sand. The coffee was really good, and that's coming from someone that drinks their coffee with milkm

Do bare in mind that the Warm Plate is bigger than it might look, we were not able to finish everything, but the staff were nice to put the remaining food for take-away.

The price was surprisingly on the average side, even though we bought quite a lot, we only payed about 215 RON (~45 EUR).

Highly recommend going here, but make sure to keep an open mind as the spices used are not usually in Romanian cuisine, so some thungs you might not like. Highly recommend trying a few things when going here.

Incredibly tasty food, big servings, really helpful staff in a comfortable setup! Was absolutely impressed with this place, so if you like middle eastern food this is the place to go to! Waiting time was quite good for a packed place. Prices are also good given the quality of food, the location and the setup. Strongly recommend the place!

Food was great and a lot for 2. The staff was really friendly. Must try the humus plate, it was delicious. Great service and we’ll definitely come back soon.

While I give 4/5 on the service, know that it was because it took a bit long to get our food ready. Food was really good. I had the chicken shawarma plate. It was really good! The service was amazing and with a big smile. Will definitely go back! Oh and btw, it's halal!

Cozy place in the heart of Cluj-Napoca, nice ambience, Oriental music in the background, really cool chairs (comfy too) and delicious food, even more delicious desserts. True, we did order chicken and Oriental food that we already knew we liked, but it all tasted very good.

Ambiance and food selection is great. Service is great too, I highly recommend a visit here to get away from the generic "ciorba de fasole" and " burgers" that we so often find in Cluj.

This is our most favorite restaurant in Cluj. Great atmosphere, outstanding service and food is soooooo good. Zaki is a new reason for us to travel all the way to Cluj :)

Very nice place with good food, nice serving and fair prices

Where do I even start... We went to Zaki's over a month ago when I was visiting my hometown, and even though it's been so long I kept reminding myself to write this review because it was *that* good. The location was spot on, the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. Don't even get me started on the food portions. We had a party of 5 and we thought what we'd ordered wasn't going to be enough - boy we were wrong!! The portions are huge, the food kept coming. We were bursting but we kept on eating as well because it was delicious. I've been around the Middle East a bit and I'm pretty familiar with the food and I can say that the food is top notch and as authentic as you could get for a city far far away from the ME. Hats off to the owners for creating such an oasis in the middle of old centre. Can't wait to visit again.

The food was great and the location is beautifull, in the heart of Cluj. Also, the prices are acceptable and we had a very good time. Will come again!

The staff was very nice. The food was large enough for three people to share. The drinks were tasty as well.
