I tried the seafood soup and it was ok. My wife got the grilled chicken and it was delicious. I got the duck and I could not believe it. Absolutely tender. The best I ever had. The portion was huge. Could not eat it all. The price is pretty cheap compared to Porto. The restaurant is traditional not fancy. They only have on waiter fronting clients but he is doing an amazing job. He speaks English and explains things elegantly. Highly recommend restaurants.

Very traditional portuguese restaurant we were very pleased to dine in.
Yesterday, we had our last night in Coimbra and decided to book a table in this establishment. We were received very warmly and the service was great. Both our servers were very courteous and recommended a wine we enjoyed very much. We never had this kind of wine, were very pleased and the bottle emptied fast.
The food was delicious and the presentation super nice. We loved the idea with the roof tile!
The prices are very good/fair, we just paid a little more due to the wine.

Excellent service on a typical Portuguese restaurant. The waiter was very polite and considered with us, and, because my partner can't eat gluten, divided the ration on two dishes putting me the bread (migas) dish for me and changing these for rice for my partner to avoid contamination. That was an huge detail for us. Beside that, the food was generous and tasty, well cooked and with a reasonable price. The soup was very well and the meat was tasty and well made. For sure I recommend it and if I'll return to Coimbra, I'll be back again. Thanks for your excellent service.

Got the goat in red wine and soup of the day plus a half bottle of wine - decently priced given the quality and quantity + awesome service from a very friendly waiter with excellent English Heard him conversing with a couple nearby explaining it was a family restaurant, and you definitely feel that atmosphere

One of the best places in Coimbra. Delectable food, tasty wine and one and only atmosphere.
Additionally, the guy called Peter, who’s a waiter, is 100% professional.

Dined here in mid November 2022. Soup of the day - vegetable Husband had the sea bass and I had the goat in red wine. Both very good meals. Desserts very reasonable at 2.95 euros each and a bottle of red wine and two coffees. Total 65 euros. Well priced. Service very good and would recommend.

Please order the fish and shellfish soup, the best one I have ever had in my life. Very kind and helpful server and a cozy local vibe, 10/10 would recommend and re-visit.

This place is traditional, relaxing with good homey food and great service. Highly recommend going there for the friendly hospitality and experience.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. We chose from their specialties and was not disappointed! The waiter was very friendly, helped bridge our gap between English and Portuguese. It can be difficult to choose among all the neat restaurants in this area, you will be pleased with this one.

The restaurant was wonderful. My wife had shrimp with calamari. I had the goat in red wine. We also ordered greens to accompny the meal. All were great. The service was good. We had an enjoyable evening. There was more food than my wife and I could eat.

The Restaurant is located in a nice quiet alley in the historic part of Coimbra and very cozy to eat in. The dishes we order, Salmon with potatoes and lettuce, and a grilled sea bass with rice and spinach (the house specialty) were very tasty, together with white wine, and the service was excellent.

Popped in here during Portugal's final showing in the World Cup (sadly), and we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of seating AND the soccer match playing on a little TV in the corner. [As the evening wore on, this restaurant started to become quite a bit more popular]

We decided to eat some of the appetizer plates they brought (in Portugal, you are charged an extra fee if you choose to eat these, but the bread and cheese looked very good -- and we weren't disappointed!)

We ordered the chanfana (goat stew) and the calamari and prawn skewers. Both were very good, and HUGE portions. We also got a bottle of the house red wine, and it was quite good for the price (looking around, EVERY table was drinking either the white or red house wines... just too good of a value!)

Like a lot of Portuguese food, it was a little salty, but overall one of our best meals in the country so far.

The grilled prawns and calamari, albeit small, are extremely tasty! The grilled sole is perfection! But the hottest dish is the waiter, hands down! 😬😬😬
