Magnificent hostel in an authentically restored historical building. Eugene, the owner, will give you a tour and share the rich history of the location. The care that’s gone into each room and the impeccable bathrooms are first-class. We loved this hostel and loved getting to know the staff and the guests in their quaint and comfortable lounge. We highly recommend!!!!

Terrific hostel. Best in class. The structure itself is historic, grand, well kept, fun to hang around in. The staff is totally committed yet easy going, and fun to chat with. The owners are remarkable, highly professional, eager to perfect their operation in innovative ways. It's also the perfect place to stay, to use as your base, or to simply observe the street life happening right in front of you. I'll definitely visit again and recommend the experience to friends.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in!!! Do not stay in a hotel in Coimbra when you have this option. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming owner. In the heart of the UNESCO site, University of Coimbra, you’ll be within easy walking distance of great restaurants, quaint shops, and beautiful architecture.

Great Hostel, I definitely recommend staying there! The rooms & bathrooms are kept very clean, the staff is super kind and warmhearted. I felt like in an expensive hotel just by the way how authentically kind and professional the staff was. No question or concern was too much and was always responded to with a warm smile. The kitchen is very clean as well and well equipped. 10/10 :)

Unbeatable location on the hill, right next to the old church and in the centre of old town. But more importantly, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff - João the new kid, the boss guy :), the Brazilian girl, everyone really - is way beyond any expectation!

For a small example, when calling to make reservation, I mentioned needing a box to mail some stuff. When I arrived a few hours later, they actually found 2 boxes for me!

Minor details can make a big difference for a traveler! I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done to make me feel comfortable and welcome. You will as well.

Wonderful place with helpful staff, willing to fulfill every need you have. They offer a very complete breakfast and a map of the city. The bathrooms are better than in some 3/4 star hotels, just wonderful. It only lacks the ambiance of a hostel, where there's barely any miggle between the guests.

The best hostel I've been to in Portugal and at the same time the cheapest. Beautiful historical building, nice room, super friendly and helpful staff, bar that enourages integration. Perfect location next to the Se (cathedral).

A 20th century maternity building with a great view of the cathedral. Great location, modern facilities, spacious/clean room, sockets and lamp for each bed, good breakfast. Helpful/friendly staff.

Beautiful, clean hostel with grreat Bathrooms, large rooms and friendly staff. Solid breakfast and an amazing location. Only the beds could use a little more privacy.
