If you want the best Francesinha in Coimbra then come here. Hands down the best 'heart attack on a plate' you will ever get! I really enjoyed their grilled steak. Massive portions for really good prices, you know you have eaten when you get out of here! Great value and really good expression of a Portuguese classic!

Came for a for a family dinner. This is a traditional Portuguese place, lovely food, nice and welcoming staff and very well located. We ate the traditional “francesinha”. It was so tasty! Must try! My mum had the “Atenas steak”, really on point with delicious sauce. Such a gem in this city!

Small Coimbra resturant/diner (opened 1962) with huge tasty portions of Portuguse food for an amazing price. Good Portuguese beer and wine selection. Arrive early as this is a popular spot with locals. We ordered a mista salad, bifana sandes, Atenas Steak dinner, a Franciscana with french fries. A bottle of vinho verde and a mug of Bohemia beer and it was 33 euros!!

Best franchezina in Coimbra!

There I was for the first time the prodigious sandwich with sousages, ham and pork lying pickled in sause with fries. Such a great piglet to eat! Yumy!
Maybe better and faster waiters, but actully that s a scuh a big problem in the whole Portugal...

Nice food and good service. We had Francesinha here, which was great. They also have nice, typical desserts. The place can get really busy on weekend days, so best to go early then. I would definitely recommend it if you want to try a typical Francesinha while you're in Coimbra.

The franchezhina's we had were so rich and tasty! It was the only time I had the dish so I cannot compare it, but I was extremely satisfied. Not pretentious place with good food and service!

We went for the franchesina and we're not disappointed. The walk up the hill is worth the end result. The ladies working there were not fluent in English but were great. Also cleanest toilets I've ever been in a cafe. You needed sunglasses for the glare from the tiles!!!!!

Best place in town for draught beer + francesinha. You can even ask them to split one in two and share with a friend, if you're crazy enough to go there while not ravenously hungry! ^_^ Great atmosphere combining middle aged friends that have been meeting there for decades, and a young​ crowd of students.

Best francesinha from Coimbra. Difficult to get a table in rush hours, but deserves the wait. Good quality for the price you pay!
