Espeto do Sul - Restaurante Rodízio Brasileiro e Sushi Bar

Absolutely loved this place! One of the best services that I’ve ever experienced and I am really grateful for all the waiters. The food was astonishing - and the meat was delicious. This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Aveiro. Will definitely be returning!

This was a fantastic dinner. Amazing value for the 2 picanha set. The service was great, everyone was friendly and funny. The drinks were really yummy too. I recommend this spot for a great Brazilian dinner. Definitely go when you are hungry because there is a lot to eat!

Delicious! We got the all you can eat sushi festival menu. They will bring you a huge boat with an assortment of sushi and sashimi- then you can order more as needed. The service was top notch.

Absolute perfection. Every single side dish was perfect to accompany the picanha, alongside some sausage and fried chicken. Every single staff member is very cheerful and welcoming, making you feel as if you were at home. Some evenings have live music and as soon you close your eyes, it takes to a new world. The perfection of the picanha is beyond words, it was the most well grilled piece of meat I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Melts in your mouth, with a crispy texture on the outside unlike any other type of meat.

We ate sushi there, ordered a sushi combination for one adults and 3 kids, got a lot of of sushi of different kinds, all of the very tasty. Service was fast and kind. They also have vegan options.

It is the part of Brazil in Portugal. The sushi was impeccable and the meat rodizio is well served with side dishes.

Don’t you ever think that because of serving both sushi and meat the restaurant lacks quality!
Actually Espeto do sul is, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Portugal both for sushi and brazilian style meat.
It is more like 2 restaurants in one and you can choose between the sushi side or the meat side. The smell won’t cross, as they are super opposite of each other.
The servers are super friendly and careful!

If you choose sushi, make sure to order the Festival option, where you get unlimited sushi served in an Aveiro boat style, the moliceiro!

Missed the eating outdoors and I love Brazilian BBQ. Lived in the South of Brazil for almost 10 Years.

If you like your meats 🍖 ♥ go to this restaurant when visiting Aveiro. It's a beautiful 5 minute walk from the city centre and the University.

Prices are reasonable for Portuguese standards. All you can eat meat.

Amazing restaurant. Did not taste the sushi, but the picanha was very good. The only thing is that I asked it medium-rare and they gave me one rare-rare... Other than that, definitely will come back for more.

We had both the meat and sushi food and it was well done and tasty.

Since I was a clueless tourist when we sat down here, let me explain what happens. The place felt like it was more orientated towards the locals, no English menu and the servers didn't know English too well. Honestly this added to the experience, having fun with the server trying to communicate. When you order sushi, you get sushi, simple. Like any other restaurant. When you order some of the meat choices you can get salad fries and different snacks at the buffet, as it is included. Furthermore you will have a guy, the meat guy, walking around with a big kebab stick full of meat. Every time different kinds of meat. He would slice a piece off for everyone and then come with a new stick of meat. This continued endlessly until our bellies were all full. Think it was all you can eat but not quite sure, because of the language barrier. The meat was juicy and tasty, but also had some fat you had to cut away. There's a choice of sauces from the buffet,the rest of the buffet is mediocre, felt like some things were lying there for too long and got cold. Price was good we had 2 bottles of wine, one beer and a meal for 5 persons for just short of 90 euros.

An all-you-can-eat brazilian restaurant that offers a nice variety of cuts for a fair price.
And the staff and service excels the expectations every time.
Definitely worth a visit when you're in Aveiro!
