The food was great and in good quantity. The service was good. It's still a little pricey compared to other restaurants but the high quality food and high end atmosphere makes it worth it.

The restaurant is stylish and clean. Azulejos line some of the walls, and their is a beautiful large photo of Coimbra to decorate the restaurant. The staff is professional. The meal was our best in Portugal, better than more expensive restaurants in Lisbon. We very much enjoyed the pesto linguini with cherry tomatoes, and the grilled sea bass. Nicely presented. Highly recommended.

I went to Restaurante O Travador on a visit to Coimbra. It was a cute little restaurant in the old part of town. The server recommended I try the salmon, which was so delicious. They also told me where to go to listen to live Fado music, which was an awesome experience. Highly recommend this cute little spot for a great dinner in Coimbra!

I took my three American friends here when they visited. I ordered the chanfana and they had steaks. Everyone loved the food and the staff was incredible.

There's currently some construction going on outside. At first, that did keep us away but I'm so, so glad we came back to this place.

When I go back, I'll get the chanfana again; it was that good. Don't let the construction keep you away from this place!

Had a delicious lunch of Pork Tenderloin With Mushrooms. So good we made dinner reservations. We returned the same day for dinner that evening. 😋 Chanfana In Our Village Style for dinner braised Mountain Goat in red wine with vegetables. Highly recommend this restaurant for all the menu selections. I will be back on another trip!

Entered in this place while coming back from Coimbra University. The environment is amazing. Service is great and the food is outstanding. The pastel de alheira as a starter is a must.

Delicious food, good location, great service.

After walking up the little cobblestone pathway, we found this place. We sat down to really good wine, fresh fish and vegetables, and really good bread. Server was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. Also appreciate that we stayed a little after close, but we were offered dessert anyways. It looked like those employees were tired! So we finished and let them go.

disappoint!! Highly recommend. Try the goat stew. It was delicious and melted in our mouths!!!

Excellent!! My husband had the ‘Chanfana’ (goat cooked in red wine 3+ Days), and I had a perfectly broiled salmon - Delish!!! We also had the bonus of watching an e then tic Portuguese band play for us.

One (the) of the best restaurant I have done in Portugal. The service is very friendly (with kids as well). The fish of the day was really worth, with some vegetables. It is Portuguese kitchen style but more delicate than most of the other places, more fresh, more vegetables. The desserts were tasty as well. They speak a lot of languages. I recommend.

Excellent local food (goat stew, veal steak, local wine, panacota) all the vegetables served are organic, coming from the owner farm, all delicious. Quickly served and delightful service. Looks slightly expensive at first, but after all it's not! Great location, views, we loved the terrace :)

Had the she goat stew for lunch and it was fantastic. Quiet spot behind the old cathedral. Friendly people, speak a bit of Portuguese and it works like a charm. Great food, great spot. Loved it. No reservations.

Great food! We had the Chanfana (traditional slow cooked mutton from the region), and ordered the wine that is also used to cook it - Tocata - a perfect combination! 😋

The place has charm and great food. The menu is limited, but what they do is done very well. Excellent value for the money and great service. Worth a visit.
