Booked on a recommendation from our hosts and could not have been happier. Staff were so accommodating, spoke impeccable English and couldn't do enough to help.
The food was amazing and well worth the price, and the view from the terrace was breathtaking.

We had our lunch at this restaurant. Great food. Friendly staff. Place was full when we arrived but they took care about us and we been seated in about 15 minutes. If you plan to go there make reservation. Absolutely amazing

Lovely location, fantastic staff, food was amazing (seafood soup, composto, porco preto) & our server was a Souvei (wish we got his name) was extremely professional, friendly & absolute pleasure. Highly recommended!

This is my first review EVER, which should let you know just how much I loved the food, the service, the staff, the wine and the ambiance at Cordel. I started with the puff pastry filled with Rabaçal cheese, followed by the braised octopus. Even now, I'm still blown away by how tender it is. The plating was gorgeous and the taste divine. And don't you dare forget to order the puddim da Clarissas. Ugh! So good! I'm going back tomorrow because once is not enough!

Service can be a bit long but dishes are delicious.

Careful: the desserts are VERY sweet, be prepared 😁

Found this place on Google while looking for a lunch spot in Coimbra. So glad we did. Fresh delicious local foods and very unique gold and silver award winning desserts!
Our server was also a sommelier and he recommended some fantastic wines at very reasonable prices. Btw, this restaurant has an amazing and thorough wine list for those interested in Portuguese wines.
Highly recommend for lunch! The view from the "prow" end is quite amazing.

We had dinner at the up floor where you can enjoy Portuguese cuisine. The place is very cozy and the food... We have no words! We ordered a couple of meat main dishes suggested by the waiter and there were amazing, well presented and cooked perfectly!! DIEGO was really attentive and very engaging with us regarding the different food and wine they offer, much appreciated. Can't find anything negative, definetely will come back. I would recommend it to everyone who visit Coimbra with family, friends or just couples!!

Great burgers in Coimbra. Very local facing place. Great meat. Yummy bread. Onions caramelized in Port wine. Wine. Booze. Gourmet burger joint at very reasonable prices. What more is there to life? Skip the touristy "Portuguese kitchen" joints and point yourself this direction. You will be glad you did.

This is a lovely little restaurant just behind the second roundabout after crossing Santa Clara bridge. It is easy to spot thanks to its deep pink colour and we'll worth a visit. Although the menu is predominantly hamburgers there is a decent range of other things, petiscos, carne and peixe all feature in a menu separate from the burgers. We had a beef and a chicken burger, both with imaginative toppings and a side of tasty crisps. The request to serve the beef burger without the listed pineapple wasn't a problem. Service good, desserts looked delicious but we didn't have time / room to sample. Good value for a more upmarket spot. Will definitely be back to try more flavours.
