Praia Velha Restaurante Lounge

Restaurant is away from the main drag on the shifty side of Esmoriz, but is very well turned out inside. Food is beautifully cooked, probably the best you will find on the beach. The chef who works there is Esmoriz's answer to Gordon Ramsey - wildly eccentric but very talented with a knife and a hot stove.

I ate here with a group of friends, we were a big table and it was complicated to choose what to eat due to each person’s preferences, but our server Juliana was wonderful and patient, she had great suggestions for us both for food and wine. All of the dishes were delicious but the fish was exceptional. Great vibe, I would definitely recommend it!

This was a wonderful experience! From the get go, the staff did their best to accommodate our big group of 9, plus our frenchie (they're pet friendly if you stay outside).
Juliana's effortless charm and sympathy lead us through the multicultural menu that allowed us to not only savor Portuguese dishes but also to endeavour in new ones, from the hands of Chef Joaquim.
The restaurant is also set in such a peaceful area that you almost can hear the ocean from afar.

I loved this restaurant, the food was incredible and the staff very friendly, fitting in a table of 9 at short notice when they were already very busy.

The best Bachlau I’ve ever had, and the most wonderful Creme brulee. Service was very good, and a lovely local atmosphere. I will definately eat here again. If you are in Cortegaca, then you have to try this restaurant.
