O Arco da Velha

While visiting Aveiro, we decided to have lunch at O Arco da Velha, and it was well worth it. The staff were nice, and greeted and seated us promptly. Also, in no time at all we had our drink orders and food starter as well. The food was excellent: I had the Octopus with potatoes and onions; my wife had a chicken kabob with fries, rice and salad, and our friend had some type of beef steak with a mustard sauce and fries. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

We highly recommend this restaurant, and if given the chance would eat here again.

The name of this dish was a shrimp & rice stew . The flavor was elevated by the fresh shrimp and the broth. It was helped out by a nice glass of local wine.

We visited on a busy day and there were only two waiters which meant service was slow. Food was excellent and huge portions with a reasonable price. Recommended

Simplemente espectacular.

Vinimos por recomendación de unos valencianos, y ya sabemos todos que si un valenciano te recomienda un arroz.... hay que hacerle caso. Y menos mal que se lo hicimos.

El arroz es caldoso, en nuestro caso pedimos el de gambas, un poco de pan y dos quesos para probarlos. La olla de arroz es en teoría para dos personas pero comimos cuatro sin problema, aunque después de probarlo pensamos que igual hacia falta una olla por persona porque estaba ¡increíble!

El trato del personal fue maravilloso, el camarero que nos atendió nos recomendó los quesos. El arroz tarda media hora, puedes llamar y reservar pero con unos quesos como entrante haces tiempo y hambre.

Relación calidad precio increíble.

La comida buenísima pero lo mejor el servicio, profesionales como hacía tiempo k no veía, rapidez y eficiencia. Volveré sin dudarlo. Muchas gracias!
